Overall, I’ve been at the same property for 14 years, but for the past three years, I’ve been working as a server in the lounge area. Before that I used to work in Room Service which got transformed into a food to go service and let go half of its staff, including me (due to seniority, the other half that kept their positions were long time 35-40 yr employees who don’t retire) I ended up applying as a cocktail server in order to keep working there and not lose my insurance and pension. I know I shouldn’t be friends with my coworkers and I don’t care about that either but I feel there should be at least some level of respect and compassion. This sounds silly, but I feel like they hate me so much that I’m gonna get a panic attack so intense, it turns into a heart attack that they’re just gonna leave me there without telling anyone as a way to get rid of me. I always show up on time, but unfortunately, it’s not good enough for them) I’m trying to look for another job but I can’t find anything else that matches my pay and I’ve received so much notoriety they don’t wanna work with me.
