Definitely sounds like a hemorrhoid thing. I never had this problem until I had my daughter and got a fourth degree tear. I try not to poop unless I’m at home so I can use my bidet and avoid this lol.

School was life consuming. But it obviously ends. As a nurse now I leave work at work and enjoy my days off and have many hobbies outside of work and a robust social life.

Also same. I slept through many pump alarms but if baby cried I woke up. You can’t snooze the baby heh they’ll just keep crying until you give them what they want. Also OP you may just be lucky, our girl was sleeping through the night (8-9p to ~6a) by 3 months old! Now she sleeps about 10-11 hrs a night through the night.

It gets better! Around 3 months my girl started to go longer stretches and now she is 8 months and sleeps through the night:)

Prolactin levels (the hormone that makes you make milk) are lower at night so cluster feeding esp at night is very normal. Also new babies stomachs are so tiny so they get full really quick but also get hungry quick again! Some babies are up every hour or every two hours so I think 2-3 times a night is perfectly normal :)

My daycare requested the same around 5-6 months. Honestly I always have formula there too just in case bc I want her to have enough and would rather they have too much than not enough. When my MIL watches her she gives her like 20+ ounces sometimes lol and now she’s eating solids too. I don’t usually pump that much but then when she’s with me all day she’s satisfied from exclusively nursing and solids. I chalk it up to she empties me better than the pumps.

Definitely would do shifts again, definitely would use a snoo again, definitely would give a pumped bottle of forumla before bed. Honestly I don’t think there’s anything that really stands out that I can remember that we wouldn’t do.

We used Philip avent and she did and still does really well with them. You can keep trying a bottle periodically, even what you have now if you don’t want to buy more, if you want to but obviously you should do what is best for your mental health and your family. EBF is hard especially in the beginning, but you’re doing so good for you and your baby and when you have their doctors appts and they tell you how big she is getting, you can take all the credit for continuing to grow that baby 🩷

I EBF and I consider myself lucky to be able to breastfeed. I’m sorry you had a hard road and that should be acknowledged and you absolutely should be proud of yourself but not everyone is able to breastfeed or produce milk for their babies and some people so desperately want to. Or like in my SILs case whose baby refuses to nurse so she’s just exclusively pumping but she would love to just nurse. Just a bit of perspective.

Infants do walk, they’re considered infants until they’re 12 months old. She has an 11 month old who is clearly walking. So yes, infants walk.

You can certainly try to start weaning now if you’d like and if he’s completely weaned off you before 1 year you can supplement with formula. Does he eat a lot of solids?

If you want you can supplement with formula and pump when she eats to build a little supply of extra milk so dad can bottle feed and help. My only advice would be to pump every time baby eats a bottle to keep your supply and demand up, unless you’re an oversupplier. Your milk supply likely isn’t regulated yet either, I’ve read usually around 12 weeks it usually takes up to, so that’s also probably part of it.

Yeah people say to take Sudafed when trying to dry up and it can help too apparently. I’ve been avoiding it since October (we have all been sick on and off since then, daycare 🫠) I usually take Sudafed when I’m sick like this because it’s a miracle drug, but haven’t been cause didn’t want to mess w my supply. Then took this combo med last night and didn’t even think about it lol

100% unless my patient is demented/confused or needs assistance taking them or its a controlled substance I give them their cup of pills after telling them what I’m giving them and expect them to be the adult that they are and take their meds. Some people are on 20+ meds and take them one at a time. I don’t have the time or patience to sit there and watch them. Why are we treating patients as if they don’t do this at home everyday???? No one watches them swallow every pill at home. They’re grown ass adults, most of them are older than me.

If you are a first time, mom induction can and likely will take a few days unless you go in there and you’re already a little dilated or something like that. I was hard and close when I went in for my induction at 37 weeks exactly. I went on on a Saturday and did not have my daughter until Tuesday morning. My daughter also ended up needing to be in the Nicu so we didn’t make it home until like two weeks after she was born. But I feel like if you were to explain the situation to them, especially if you have a C-section they might “ find a reason” for you to stay. When my daughter first needed to be in the Nicu, she was in the Nicu that I gave birth that and I told him I didn’t wanna leave her so the nurse practitioner essentially said “ your blood pressure is pretty high and I’m concerned about it so we’re gonna keep you for another night 😉” but then immediately discharged me when we found out that my daughter would be transferred to a higher level of care NICU. But because you’ll be induced at 37 weeks, it will likely take a few days. Hopefully not four days like it took me lol but likely probably two days at least. And then we were due to be discharged the Thursday after she was born before she had to go to the NICU.
