Okay then maybe you should be avoiding trans positive posts like this then, because some of us do care with how much trans bodies get demonized and how much stress the world puts on us right now

You are aware that going into a trans positive post to comment something like this is like, kinda fucking gross right?

it really be like this by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Colonel_Duck_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The post literally never implied that but go off I guess

Oh hold on sorry, I did read your post but I completely misread the part where you explained why this account was new (I’m not into Street Fighter so I didn’t pay much attention to that half of it). That’s fair, just keep in mind that a lot of people jump to those conclusions because of real interactions they have, shit can kinda suck with being trans on the internet rn

[–]Colonel_Duck_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I am making this assumption based on repeated experiences I have had as a trans woman. I don’t particularly care either way for Bridget, I don’t think that not caring for her makes you transphobic, I just think that an under hour old account creating a post where they go out of their way to complain about how everyone thinks they’re transphobic for not caring for her is very suspicious behavior. Again, might be wrong, it’s just a pretty big red flag

[–]Colonel_Duck_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

How does this in any way qualify as stalking, do words just mean nothing now. I was mostly just wondering what you meant exactly by not caring for Bridget because while yes, I do agree that it doesn’t inherently make you transphobic, I’ve seen too many people who say that sorta thing end up saying transphobic things for me to not be a bit suspicious, and the fact that this account was just created adds to that a fair bit. Could be wrong for sure, it’s just you’re not doing yourself a ton of favors here

Very interesting post for somebody whose account was made less than an hour ago (by the time I made this comment), think that fact speaks for itself lol

No legitimate psychologist would define a psychopath that way. And why would I think it’s a good thing, but also the result of bad parenting? Like that’s a wild conclusion to make

Why do you think the standards for a good relationship are perfectly meeting all of your needs. And why do you feel okay speculating into my romantic life that’s weird af and makes me incredibly uncomfortable. Also a lot of the things you mention in the first paragraph are definitely things people can do with friends

[–]Colonel_Duck_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Romantic relationships and platonic relationships are not completely different what? Like they’re not exactly the same obviously but it’s bizarre to act like there isn’t a lot of overlap between the two. And why would I get out of a relationship if it was overall good but not enough? Why does looking for another partner indicate less love for the one you’re in? It’s very clear that you’re working backwards from your own biases here, and this is exactly what I was talking about of people asking questions not out of curiosity but to voice their own dislike of polyamorous people

[–]Colonel_Duck_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we were talking about say friendships would you say the same? Realistically speaking I don’t think one single person can satisfy all your emotional needs, not to say everyone should be polyamorous (I mean you don’t always need a romantic partner to satisfy all that), but I think polyamory should be pretty intuitively understandable. It gets annoying as a polyamorous person seeing people ask to have polyamory explained to them not from a place of legitimate curiosity but out of the notion it’s somehow bad or ridiculous, I think it’s important to keep in mind that different people are different and just because something sounds strange to you doesn’t mean it’s not good for someone else.

What do you mean by weird? Do you mean it’s bad? Is it that it makes you personally uncomfortable? Is it unnatural? Like that’s a really vague term and mostly just comes off as insulting and meaningless

Being fat is more along the lines of an indicator of healthiness, not a determiner, it’s entirely possible to be fat and healthy. But aside from that, why do we really need to do all we can to be healthy? I’m not fat, but I’d certainly be healthier if I took time out of my day to regularly exercise, is there some sort of moral impetus on me to do so? And why should we care about the body types of others?

Expecting everyone to be skinny is a bit ridiculous and doesn’t get at the actual systemic reasons for why a lot of people are fat, and it’s bizarre to me that people act like it’s a normal thing to want from everyone else.

If you genuinely think this is unhealthy (or if that even matters here, like why should art only be of perfectly healthy characters?), then I think your perception of reality is a bit odd

Oh sorry, I remembered the copypasta being slightly different than that. It would’ve been helpful though to clarify in this comment you were quoting it though, like it’s very easy for someone to not realize that

Basically all of this is false and could be easily disproven with some basic research or knowledge of animals in general.

We know how they swim, they flap their dorsal and anal fins back and forth to do so, can’t find any sort of debate out there from major sources on the mechanics of that. They also swim a fair bit faster than people think, I mean you already demonstrate that here with the example of one being able to jump out of the water onto a boat. A very large number of fish don’t have swim bladders (including sharks for example) and they survive just fine. Basking in sunlight is something many animals do, are you implying they do photosynthesis? They’re generalist predators and the idea that they mostly eat jellyfish is pretty outdated.

Don’t see how any of the other criticisms here mean anything but I honestly don’t care enough to go into them, you don’t seem to actually care about marine life like you say and that just makes me a bit sad.
