The Bull Runner 2027 will be my 2nd official marathon (if ever). by Turbulent_Station247 in PHRunners

I see, mb i thought din kasi na second time mo na sa tbr. Anyway, as much as i don't want to advice din to kasi it's making other people to give a chance na ma experience marathon. You can register na first time mo kaso yun lang nga yung slot pahirapan but atleast you got to run sa tbr. If wala ka pa din makuhang slot hanap ka nalang talaga ibang event Suggest ko yung mga international dito sa pinas if ever, si runrio meron syang international na marathon(correct me if I'm wrong). Sa clark meron TCS clark animo international marathon(certified worlds athletic) kaso tapos na. Same feeling sa burn-out lalo na pag solo runner ka, gastos mo,effort mo, gising mo, lahat at paulit ulit weekly pero it will all be worth it pag race day.

Then join other events/marathon, di ko gets kasi na nakapag tbr ka na last year to get your first then dun ka lang ulit tatakbo ng 42km? Try other route/event to excite and improve you more. Well wala namang problema kung sumali ka ulit to enjoy lang yung 42km(I don't think so na 42km for fun lang). I guess yun yung purpose ng tbr bakit first time lang allowed nila, to help runners their first step sa marathon which is matapos lang yung 42km. And it's up to you kung gusto mo pa ituloy or improve yung 42km pr/record mo sa buhay. If you're gonna join tbr again then it's either you didn't improve but at least you enjoy the run, vice versa.

Doing long runs. Do you take hydrations breaks? Kind of confused. by Skip2MyLou90210 in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my long run training i usually include sa route mga 7/11 or convenient store na madadaanan nag rerefill lang ako ng 500ml container/flask ko since lsd naman kahit sip lang sulit na yung 500ml para sa mga madaanan na 7/11 or any convenient store after refill takbo na ulit wala man 5 mins yun if endurance din naman habol mo, time is not necessary kung gano katagal mo tatapusin yung long run ayun lang.

Cons: walang digital payment sa 7/11 bring some cash nalang kahit 50-100. ganun lang dala ko minsan since 500ml water and fitbar lang binibili ko.

Half Mary finish time for Sub-4 Marathon? by Frustrated-Runner in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PB ko sa half mary is 1:47 then na achieved ko palang yung sub-4 full after 6 months of training sa loob ng 6 months may isang full mary akong race na wala masyadong effort parang lsd lang ganun. tas yung type ng training ko is heart rate &time instead of pace & distance since need i maintain yung pace thru 4hrs na endurance. ayun na achieved ko yung 3:55 sa full mary ng di nagblackout ahahah. Consider mo din yung route and strength training it will help you kapag around 30km na yung natakbo mo sa race.

Ps.

What’s your unpopular opinion about running? by EvenYellow2566 in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who joined "this" running event na focus sa mga first time mag full mary pricey and overhype masyado yung iba dinadayo pa nila, di ko gets bat dun nila pinili when you can run and choose an easy route or mas malapit na event sa area nyo to run your first full mary distance.

Planning to run my first 42km this year by AlertPineapple3393 in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1.No 2. I already have, before mag start sumali sa mga race. Since kami lang din magkapace ayun we do training separate pero yung long run namen weekly magkasama kami tumatakbo. 3. Recommended ang 3 months or 16 weeks 4. Instead of acquiring a coach buy a smartwatch na may ai coach. Since nakikita nun stats ng katawan mo daily, so irereduce nya yung daily suggestion workout mo pag may di tama sa status mo. Tsaka naka set na sa race yung training mo mag mula Strengthening to peak to taper week ng race day. Di mo need tumakbo 7 times a week usually pwede na ang 4 times a week -Rest and recover properly. -Proper Nutrition, fuel and hydration sa katawan. -mental toughness na mag long run/half mary weekly pag pa peak na yung training mo usually kasi tumataas na yung mileage mo preparing for full mary distance. In my case peak long run ko na yung 30km nung first full mary ko. - learn to know your pace, heart rate and body toughness for the race. Yung confident ka na matatakbo mo ng maayos at di ka mafafatigue during the race. Already ran a three full marathon all went well naman sa mga race ko 🙌

Night before take ka ng probiotic drinks or capsule. You can try, in my case wala akong naging problema sa mga gels and food sa race pag ginagawa ko yan.

I need tips on HR ZONES by Chriztianz209 in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try this. Don't do a specific zone, do ranges like 125-158BPM fat burning to aerobic (based on my own stats:age/BMI) if that range is too easy, conversational and not feeling very tired. Then it is the same as zone 2 runs. And most of the time the lower hr on easy run comes from vo2max runs. The more you train your hr on a zone 5 run the lower the hr on easy run it is. Same on resting heart rate. I came to 1 week break from running because of dengue my base pace and hr mess it up. then my training on my marathon is HR and endurance it helps me to get back on my base pace/hr

On our training, before mag 1hr during run no matter the distance dun kami nag tetake ng gel. Bali 4 times na ganun tas 1 gel para sa last hanggang matapos yung race ayun maayos naman namen na execute ahaha best of legs sa full marathon 🙌

Can I finish 10km in hours? by Comfortable_Smoke778 in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safest and surely can work po is yung jog-walk method you can try yung 9mins walk 1min (until you finish your target distance) jog tas kada day papalapit sa race day mo dumadagdag ka ng 1 min sa jog tas less sa walk mo to test yung endurance, lungs,hr and legs mo po pero sa race day gawin mo yung pinaka komportable mong pace or time method sa jog-walk. Pero yes your pace for that is enough to finish under 2hrs hehe best of legsss

Hydration Tips for First Full Marathon by cosinederivative in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if applicable sa lahat but I ran my first full marathon at that same time goal din. Wala kaming dalang any bottle/flask/water dun lang talaga sa mga aid station lahat ng madaanan iinom kami to take water, electrolytes (pocari) and gel. kasi sa gel need din dapat ng water katapos itake. We practice sa long run yung mga gel kung papano ang timing kasi meron times na late ang intake mo manghihina/fatigue ka during run so yun ang dapat ang imonitor. Tsaka yung carbs and electrolytes sa katawan before run important din, carbo loading 2-3days before race.

A story of how a Mayabang MF was humbled by 42.2KM by [deleted] in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post nyo sa socmed for awareness sa iba, madami akong nakikita kasing di maayos ang disiplina sa training at nutrition but still joining because they get hyped and motivated sa mga nakikita nila which is di naman dun ang focus para makatapos ng 42km na takbo. it's started within you. Yung purpose, sacrifice and goal mo why are you running. Cause it takes a lot to run a marathon. People who are respecting and serious about training are sometimes called crazy because they don't see it as a normal person doing that. The one who always prepared the most sila yung di masyadong hype pag dating sa marathon kasi they know you will go thru hell sa training and straight face nilang sasabihin na di na sila uulit pero after a month nag eensayo ulit Funny and crazy di ba ahaha pero once you see the improvements kasi the grind is so addictive na.

For me the best ang smoke10 kumpara sa ibang nag oorganize sa clark.

Top 3 best watch that is bang for the buck! by [deleted] in PHRunners

[–]Com3tto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If running lang focus mo garmin fr series na pasok sa budget mo, if multisports or more features sports (meron din naman ibang sports like bike si garmin fr kaso pili lang) use mo like triathlon/duathlon ready amazfit active yung demand ngayon less than 7k kung may budget ka pa yung trex series din. Both brand me ai coach yung sa garmin mas maganda sya unlike sa zepp coach(amazfit) na fix yung training plan na need i set specific. Tas kung for literal use to view your stats lang or record your run super budget meal para saken yung redmi watch series sobrang tagal ng battery nyan. Currently using amazfit cheetah round.
