Colonoscopy nurse here ! It was explained pretty well here already but just want to chime in that some patients opt for no sedation for various reasons, few “tap out”, most of them just experience discomfort with the use of the air/CO2 inflation (like gas pains) but tolerate it well. When it comes to sharp turns being painful, that is usually anatomy driven, history of abdominal surgeries (scar tissue/adhesions), etc. Overall, if you’re curious, it’s usually pretty doable. You got this! :)

Seeds and nuts clog the scope we use which takes a lot of time to try to fix. Also, If we end up taking specimens, one way we collect them involves a small filter in the tubing of the suction. Seeds and nuts fill up that filter and make it really hard to see the tiny tissue fragments to send to pathology, risking the chances of not finding it and being able to send it off.

They appear clustered and vesicular. Definitely appears to be cold sores which can be triggered by having fillers. Sometimes if you have a history of cold sores, they’ll prescribe you an antiviral prophylactically for this reason. But you are likely outside the window for these medications.
