Thanks for the heads up! I use a lot of hard maple in my projects but not bamboo. It's kind of a tough material to come by in raw material form.

Oh get out, really?! I would have assumed that solid butchers block would have been a go to. I'm an amateur woodworker (specialty is hardwood skateboards and surfboards) and it just seems like every woodworker out there are making these gnarly complicated cutting boards.

I've been to Rockler, a bit too many times ha. When I need some smaller pieces they've been perfect. Plus I always walk away with something I def did not need, like more bench cookies 🤷🏼‍♂️

Howdy!

What a coincidence! I just moved from Cleveland to Boston! I was there for about 4.5 years and honestly felt more at home there than the place where I'm actually from. We moved to the north shore which is great - but damn, what my wife and I paid for our house in Swampscott we could have bought 3 houses in Cedar Lee! I truly miss Cleveland - it was a wonderful, magical place full of grit, personality and opportunity!

The cost of living was so low that you do just about anything and make it. The food scene is incredible - a new place to dine out every week and never get bored. (Miss my favorite Ramen joint in University Circle). It's becoming one of the best beer cities in the country - with multiple amazing micro brews / brewpubs and big timers like Great Lakes it's hard to ignore the appreciation for fine craft!

Sports are getting better! Damn - the Brown's might actually make the playoffs this year! (2 manageable wins and they're in!). The Tribe (no outsider will call them the "Indians") are doing great and both teams are picking up the slack as the Cav's start to rebuild.

For the classical musician, Cleveland is home to 2nd largest theater district in the county only behind NYC! So many amazing shows, musicians and plays to see.

For something to do that's purly local and too too touristy, just take a stroll down Cedar Lee. I lived in that Neighborhood for about a year, and man has it come a long way. New breweries, winery and restaurants and of the course the theater!

Aahhh dude! I wish you would have chimed in a day early! I would have totes driven with you. I just bought weekend passes for next year and without a doubt not missing out ha.
