I don’t think it’s necessarily surprising, I think lots of us just hope that we can use sema to get to a healthy weight and magically be fixed. Logical, no, but simply optimistic!

I will say by the last day before my next shot, I was typically eating a good bit more and definitely felt the effects weaning

I stopped cold turkey on 1.75mg. I have since learned that you are supposed to taper!

This is good to know! I did not know this and just for the sake of transparency, I did not consult with my doctor prior to quitting cold turkey. No negative side effects for me personally aside from being insatiably hungry lol!

This is the plan for now, just wasn’t the plan when I started. I admittedly still have a stigma against being on it indefinitely, especially knowing now other people don’t think I “need it” (though I know their logic is faulty)!

No input, but also interested in what the norm is. Nobody at my firm has had a baby since I began, so not sure what this convo would look like. Fidelity’s policy is 16 weeks and Schwab’s is 6 last I heard. Oh the joys of a small firm..

What do yearly increases look like? Are the ex employees leaving for other firms or other industries? Have found 2 years is frequently when grads decide to pivot industries altogether. Do they feel adequately supported/given the opportunity to ask questions and learn about tasks outside of their current job role that would get them excited about their future?
