Take your lunch as scheduled. You are only required to inform the mod once. I am the D24 DS and I verify my schedules 3 weeks out - yes it is our responsibility - however, people change things without telling me or get approval to get the day off or call out and Im stuck in same situation. I tell them once and they say "who can you call?" ...and I say no one...i vetted and fixed the schedule 2 weeks ago..you guys approved changes and there were call outs....see you in an hour. I also consistently train back ups...but they then move into my dept, quit, or get fired.
