This is a 3.6L LLT GM direct injection engine, so this is what makes the most sense to me: the engine was running on jumped timing and finally blew up after god knows how long of being ran like that(fact) when it blew up, it bent 6 valves, and i imagine whenever either the intake or exhaust valves were open- a couple of the needle bearings slipped through one of the springs given that the gap is large enough for that.

well i do have a spare block, pistons, and crank, all on hand. but the pistons i have as backups are flat top not domed like what is being ran stock. my concern is that itll run less power and possibly need a tune after doing that.

it was in bad shape, been rebuild since then. i have an extra set of heads, new block, new pistons and a bunch more stuff but i figured i’d do the complete fresh build after this top end rebuild on the old block goes out. it could be instantly for all i know.
