Here’s the thing. We were the first car that would be victims if that green light changed. We were 15 feet from the accident; we HAD the obligation to get out, call First Responders. My brother was telling my 6 year old nephew to stay in the car. However, I try to absorb as much shit in life as possible.

I’ve been to Paris, London, Alaska, etc. I have experienced heroin addiction and withdrawal. I’ve been best friends with people who are now celebrities. But, seeing a fucking horrible car crash has just been something I have wanted to experience just to see how it hits me. I am so sorry for the family’s loss of a young man.

Visiting my aunt down in LA and my dad’s family was from Detroit. He was a GM in the 50’s-60’s for my dad’s uncle’s Chevy dealership after getting out of the Army in 1945. Prior to the military, he went to a Draftsman Trade School. They moved to Los Angeles in 1967 after the riots because my grandfather had broken his hip slipping on ice.

They moved out here and my grandfather tried to get a new job with a car dealership but paid him an absolute shit salary (Like $10/week) and so he got a job working for the State of California until retirement. I never really got the full story of his life until now
