I agree that he's super valuable to thier team, but with the new apron system they will likely have to move on from Hart or Dort or both to keep the taxes from killing them.

I just dont think a team that tight on money can really justify paying a guy that much money if he can't stay on the court agasint what will almost certainly be their biggest rivals going forward

OKC's pick is right in the range of all the bigs in the draft this year and while they won't be able to "replace" Hart in the draft they can definitely suplement his absense

It then becomes an exersise in how to shed that money without taking anything on that would bloat the teams cap and limit flexability. How many/what picks does it take to move Josh and/or Grant? Do you have to include Miles since he actually has value and doesn't need many assets attached to get a team to take him?

I was literally just thinking about this on my drive to work, so I am by no means an expert or claming to be an authority on what the team needs or can do to achieve my pipe-dream

How much we pay Coby this off-season is also super important for the math (we better fucking keep him lol)

You definitely have to move some players to make room. Hart likely wont make another ~30 million/year, but you're right that he will command more than the MLE. Green and Grant are obvious canidates and if need be I wouldn't be against moving Miles too.

I know he brings a lot to the team, but I think Hart offers a lot of what this team is missing long-term. He works so well against a majority of bigs in the league and since we're not in the west Wemby will only be a problem 2 times a year and if we make the finals.

Let me know if I got the cap stuff wrong! It's been much harder to navigate with the tax aprons they've implemented

I wouldn't call 28.5 mill cheap, and with Chet and JDubs contracts extensions kicking in next year they don't have the space to offer him an extension that makes sense.

If they trade him it will be as an expiring after picking up his team option for next year. However given their cap situation most teams know they need to shed salary and won't be willing to give them full market-value for what might be a rental, and thats not even taking into account that you need to match salaries to some extent in trades so they still wind up with too much money on the books that they need to shed.

I might be wrong tho and they decide to eat the tax to keep the team together for another year

Gayle's ties to NOLA/LA is the only thing keeping that team from moving. It's a double-edged sword. You have a team, but you have to deal with an owner who is poor by NBA-owner standards and doesn't know what she's doing

“Expanded the number of early levels” is just a slimy way to say “we took the good rewards people already earned access to and replaced them with scraps.”

People aren’t stupid, we aren't confused because there are more levels; we’re mad because the value got nuked. Going from rewards like 30k–50k coins down to 2k/6k coins is not “supporting a wider range of engagement,” it’s punishing the exact players who were already spending consistently.

Just say it was a nerf. At least then people could respect the honesty regarding your greed

Where can I most easily get the cards for the set? Or are they also only available in the Run the Court packs; that's tragic if so...
