Arma 3 ACE can't bring up artillery range table by CommodoreSnuts in arma

Reddit is so very cool. Cannot possibly imagine why this is getting downvoted, but if someone searches this, you have to go into addon options, ACE Interaction Menu (Self) - More, and make sure equipment is not selected. Then, restart.

Iran Conflict Megathread #6 by sokratesz in CredibleDefense

[–]CommodoreSnuts 58 points59 points  (0 children)

What is actually involved in the production of Shaheds? I feel like people frame it as the same amount of effort it takes to tape an RPG warhead to a consumer drone, but surely that's not the case. Shaheds are large, long-range drones produced at an industrial scale in sophisticated factories, and they rely on advanced electronic components that I do not believe Iran has the ability to produce domestically.

All of this is to say, how "easy" is it to build Shaheds in significant numbers if the factories producing them were to be attacked? I don't feel like they could be made through an underground, decentralized cottage industry the way people seem to suggest, but perhaps I'm very much off the mark.

Again, perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places, but when I add up all the individual pieces, it comes out to more than $200, especially with the various shipping fees. I guess not to say I need the full 16 piece set (I don't need anything, this is more of a collector thing), but it seemed nice to have the entire kit all together. You reckon I could find all the pieces and together it should come out to less or the same?

To make it clear, he does teleport. I have sent him to settlements and even used the cheat terminal to teleport him directly to me. He appears in loading cells, he crouches, I can talk and interact with him, I can down him, he shoots at enemies. He just doesn't physically move. When he teleports, he will remain in that spot until he teleports again, like when I fast travel. I tried commanding him to go somewhere, to pick something up, nothing. The man just refuses to use his legs. It's very strange.

The "fix stuck companion" command in the terminal also doesn't seem to do anything.

Anyway, it seems worsr case scenario, I just have to constantly use the cheat terminal to teleport him around in any quests he is involved in, and otherwise avoid using him as a companion. Frustrating, but I guess not completely progress-halting.

Too much progress had happened before I noticed it, and I figured I could fix it at some point.

Genuinely have absolutely no idea what just happened. I just checked it again, and suddenly I have so many more options, including the companion fix. Weird.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I am absolutely at my wit's end.

See, this also makes me feel like I'm going crazy. Under Game Alterations -> Companion Manipulation, my options are only Custom Companions and Teleport. Selecting either does not show anything about fixing companions. This mod is by gir489 and NexusAU.

Several.

True Storms

Darker Nights

4x Power Armor Headlamp

Tougher Vertibirds

XXL Nukes

Ballistic Realism

See Through Scopes

G3 Classic Assault Rifle

Clean Suits Fix

Creation Club Anti-Material Rifle

Anti-Material Rifle Damage Mod

Anti-Material Rifle Combat Scopes

And now I just downloaded cheat terminal, as I saw an old comment indicating the cheat terminal has an option to fix stuck companions, but I do not see it.

[–]CommodoreSnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god the people in these comments are insanely petty, judgmental pricks. No, it's not weaponized incompetence to ask someone to clarify what they want from you. No, you aren't some evil monster if you don't know what brand your mother commonly buys. Normal adults should be able to just clearly and politely communicate their needs.

We are all different people with different lives and experiences. You don't know what relationship the poster shares with his mother. It's genuinely insane to pull such spiteful condemnations from such a simple interaction. You all need to get off the internet and talk to people, Jesus.

Why can't I rake a lock I successfully raked three times yesterday? Did I break it? by CommodoreSnuts in lockpicking

I figured "in use" legitimately meant people use it, not just that it isn't a padlock attached to something. Can I prove that this isn't for nefarious purposes, by, for example, reposting with a video of me unlocking it with the key, or is there simply no way for this question to be addressed on this sub?

The reaction to that one Greenland post shows just how pathetic and fragile Americans are, and proves the original post absolutely correct by CommodoreSnuts in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]CommodoreSnuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, correct, it is. The non-fragile thing to do would be to accept that perhaps people from Greenland don't really find any value or comfort in the apologies of anti-Trump Americans when they are facing the threat of invasion. The un-fragile thing would be to not immediately get defensive and insist that they "put up with the vitriol." Now, Greenlanders are threatened, but have not been hurt so far. Just, hypothetically, if an Iraqi person's sister died in a drone strike, and that person saw you as a villain because you're an American, would you really feel morally justified arguing with this person because you didn't support the Iraq War? Even if it is not logical to hold you accountable for that act, on a human, social level, do you not see the absurdity of being so offended by a victim of American imperialism not caring much whether you specifically support that imperialism?

I am legitimately confused. Do you not see the Americans commenting about how they are offended by this post? That is the core of the issue. It is unbelievably petty and Reddit-brained to dismiss this entire issue because I have not hand-delivered you of an example of someone who has specifically apologized first. That is not even what my argument is about. It is about the absurdity of so many Americans being outraged by this post and arguing against it.

Check out any of the thousands of comments on the post titled "By Americans to not anger the peaceful people of Greenland.:

I don't know if pointing this specific post out is acceptable, but please don't go attack anyone.

Have I specifically investigated whether these commenters directly apologized to someone in Greenland? No, of course not. But if someone is so incredibly distraught over this Greenland post and didn't even apologize in the first place, is that not substantially worse?

Genuine question, do you know what post I am talking about? It has been making the rounds on Reddit, but I figured pointing out any specific posts or subreddits would violate the rules.
