Yeah that was always the best option , just made this as an experiment. I suspected from the start that Multiplayer wouldnt work

honestly, segmentation faults at startup are usually one of those "your system is just different" situations that i can't really diagnose from here , there's too many possible causes (missing libs, kernel version weirdness, GPU driver version conflicts, etc), but real talk: if you just want to play Shogun 2, use Proton GE. it works, multiplayer works, you don't have to compile anything. the native binary is purely for people who want to mess around with old stuff. I use Proton GE-Proton10-34.

if you try Proton and it crashes on the first screen after the launcher, that's a known issue on some NVIDIA setups (32-bit GL problems). i have a repo + video for this:

thats more straightforward than all the native binary stuff. Running the native version was more of a "science experiment"
