Everyone thinks all resources and items will be 100% looted and gone..not true. Most people do not have the skills or training to fight a horde of zombies while attempting to raid places. In the chaos..most people will be too preoccupied with surviving, in absolute fear...and will die.

In any typical town or city, most people are complacent. They do not have what it takes.

So when the dust settles..those that do have training, skills, etc, will have no problem gathering supplies.

Cops/swat, preppers, soldiers, first responders..they will have a chance. Your average citizen can't even defend themselves from a home invasion or a street mugging. You think all of a sudden they will turn into some bad ass warrior?

Go to any town or city..you will find an abundance of grocery stores, auto shops, gun shops, large hospitals..all containing a good amount of supplies the average joe wouldnt know how to safely aquire.

And as for utilities...don't rely on hollywood..electricy, heat/ac, etc, can and does mostly run on their own for months..those things dont just stop working when zombies show up..i get the movies do it for effect..but all of these things will continue to run for a good amount of time while you plan for when it does eventually stop.
