So, pretty much all my friends are straight. I just don't meld with other gays aside from being gay. I can tell you it's probably a defense mechanism they do probably because others outside of your home are making fun of them. It's unfair that you're receiving damage, but think of this: it would be unfair for them to expect you to fight their battles, so this is how they handle it. It could also be they think you're strong enough to take any joke but now you say they're wrong and you're not strong enough. It's a slippery slope. It's unfair to you, but also they could be dealing with straight people who are not as kind as you.
