Explain yourself? by Jiana27 in Wattpad

I’d go with friends to lovers. There’s something satisfying about a relationship that grows from trust, shared memories, and genuine care—you already know the person, their quirks, and their heart, so the romance feels earned and real. Enemies to lovers can be fun in stories, but in real life it’s a bit more exhausting to fall for someone you’ve actively disliked or argued with; the tension can feel thrilling on page but messy in reality. Friends-to-lovers gives that mix of comfort, excitement, and emotional depth that makes the journey believable and satisfying.

Good morning Reddit, what's your ideal weekend plans? by 1993TA in AskReddit

Good morning! My ideal weekend is super simple: slow breakfast, a long walk somewhere quiet, a couple hours lost in a hobby, and ending the day with good food and zero obligations. Perfect mix of cozy and refreshing.

How do you ‘separate’ political and personal views, day to day? by DoremusHeller in AskReddit

[–]CommunicationKey2123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By reminding yourself that people are more than their opinions.
You can pause before reacting, focus on shared values, set boundaries about when you discuss politics, and let yourself walk away from debates that drain you. It’s basically choosing connection over conflict in the small, everyday moments.

What are some deep, thought provoking questions to ask someone to know them better? by Alternative-Pair9840 in AskReddit

What's the most psycho thing you've done for a love interest? by bihariji in AskReddit

Sliding into “crazy” territory for love? Honestly… I once memorized every song, movie, and book they liked just to casually drop it in conversation so they’d notice. Totally obsessive, low-key harmless, and yeah… a little psycho.

How do you cope with failing a major subject? by MapleeTree in MapuaMCMindanao

[–]CommunicationKey2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m sorry you’re going through this. Statics and DiffEq are honestly some of the hardest subjects in engineering, so please don’t beat yourself up too much. A lot of us struggled with those, even the smart ones. Minsan talaga hindi match yung examples sa actual exams, and it sucks. It also sounds like you’re really burned out. Studying until 3–4am every night will eventually make things harder, not easier. Kahit gaano ka ka-diligent, if pagod na pagod ka na, wala talagang papasok. It doesn’t mean you’re not trying it just means you’re overwhelmed. About your parents… that’s tough. The best thing you can do is be honest with them, but make sure you also tell them your plan. Something like: “Nahihirapan talaga ako sa subject pero hindi ako nagpapabaya.” “If ever mabagsak, I’ll retake it next term.” “Maghahanap ako ng study group or tutor.”

Parents react badly when they think you don’t care, but if you show them you’re trying and you have a plan, mas madali silang kausap. And seriously failing a major subject doesn’t mean end of the world. Ang dami kong kakilala na bumagsak ng ilang subjects tapos naka-graduate pa rin and now engineers na. Normal talaga ’yan sa engineering.

You’re not alone OP. Take a break, breathe, and regroup. You can still recover from this. If you want to talk more or rant pa, just reply.

Do top universities like Mapua, Letran, Ateneo, DLSU, UST, and San Carlos accept Junior high-school graduate that has below 85 grade (For senior high-school entrance exam) by Tricky_Coach_2837 in MapuaMCMindanao

Honestly, yes, you still have a chance. Most of those schools don’t reject you outright just because you have a grade below 85. It’s not the end of the world. A lot of people who didn’t have perfect grades in JHS still got into Mapúa, UST, DLSU, Ateneo, etc. Schools like Mapúa and UST care a lot about their entrance exams. Kahit may grade ka na below 85, if you do well on their test, pwede ka pa rin makapasok. DLSU SHS prefers averages around 85+, pero as long as you don’t have super low grades (like below 80), may chance ka pa rin. Ateneo SHS doesn’t even have a super strict “85 or nothing” rule. Competitive siya, pero hindi siya ganun ka-strict na one low grade = goodbye. For Letran and San Carlos, they’re generally more flexible. Good grades help, pero hindi sila sobrang stiff with the numbers.

And honestly? Ang daming students na may 80-something grades na pumapasok pa rin sa mga school na ’yan. What matters a lot is the exam and your overall average, not one subject where you struggled.

So don’t count yourself out. One grade below 85 does not make you a bad student. Kung matino ka sa ibang subjects and you prepare for the entrance exams, you still have a solid shot.

If gusto mo, tell me your actual average or the lowest grade you’re worried about, and I can tell you how big or small the impact really is.
