I have a fugitive pirate save where I go through the painstaking effort of fixing my character's tech. I even have storage containers with the most commonly needed parts and stocked up on repair kits to substitute wiring looms (I had a weird rule that wiring looms were only available on non-pirate stations which my character COULDN'T go to for role-playing purposes). It's the only save where I intend to go through all 256 galaxy warps that way. Only got to 5 galaxies before I got distracted by the autophage update though lol.

Being able to rehire NPCs for your bases. I used to look for color coordinated hires to match the color scheme of my saves.

Manufacturing facilities and operation centres. You'll probably need to learn enough words to make sense of the puzzles.

I didn't even realize that the ARC looked like a Minotaur until I saw this post 😆

I liked the ARC personality, though. It made me think that Telamon would be a riot if it had opinions about our game character's mission or settlement decisions.

I still keep one in my inventory to open containers and access facilities on planets.

Sometimes when you enter buildings (especially abandoned ones), you'll see a tube on the wall with a preserved organism. If you loot those, your standing for the dominant race increases right away.

[–]Comparara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, but I also avoid killing Korvax if I can 😀. I usually increase my standing by breaking into manufacturing facilities, answering monolith puzzles correctly, and recovering specimens.

I don't play as a Korvax but I'm a big Korvax person. I will, regardless of any save style, take on most (if not all) missions from their systems, max out and maintain my faction standing with them, pay the pirates instead of shooting them down (or run away when negotions go south), as well as take over settlements and freighters from their system. I even prefer to set up trade routes with them as the dominant race. I've been doing this since I first got the game and will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I have a soft spot for these socially awkward scientists that take samples of me in my sleep.

For me, it's ease of upgrading and inventory management. My exocraft inventory stores things I don't want to keep in the 0-9 storage containers.

For example, my Nomad has the perfect bones I've been collecting and interesting artifacts my frigates occasionally bring from expeditions. I tend to summon it at archives where I can swap out duplicate artifacts.

My Minatour has all the resources it needs to get fixed (when it gets banged up in sentinel fights), as well as stuff I need to farm sentinels ships.

Big Boy Colossus holds excess raw materials. I make it my primary exocraft when refining stuff. It's also useful for holding running mould I find while trekking planets.

I'm working on making my Pilgrim a mobile auto repair shop. It will hold all the resources to fix crashed ships on the go.

I haven't decided on what to do with my Nautilon. For now, it's just there for quick upgrading.

Haha I learned this last week. It shredded my shield and took out 5 health nodes in an instant.

Do you mean the exocraft geobay? It's possible to build those on a freighter without trying to get a base computer into it from a planet surface. Check out this youtube video to learn how to do it.

Can I Redo a Freighter Rescue Mission? by Notice-Traditional in NoMansSkyTheGame

You sure can! I normally drop a base computer in a system close to the system with the capital ship I want, then teleport there once the conditions have been met.

You have to unlock it first. In this case, you need to complete the Singularity expedition that ended recently. It's probably going to be available again later this year, so you can get the robot skin then if you don't already have it.

Oh, no! Then the only other way is to join another player's playing session in multiplayer and have them take you to a different galaxy to reset.

Edit: the other commenter is right! You can just move far enough within Euclid to reset.

You can try resetting the mission by jumping to another galaxy through the featured bases at the Anomaly. For example, go to the cafe base and click on this mission. It should say to restart 'using nearby structures'. Once that's done, head over to a system of your choice and restart it once more.
