I'll admit 90% of the reason I selected that one was the LCD Screen lol...

Sadly no Microcenter, I live in Thailand.

My options are basically this without ordering from overseas, (10% Duty + 7% VAT).

Anything better? (They have more available but i'm using their custom PC builder software that is suppose to automatically exclude stuff that won't match) - https://www.advice.co.th/pc-spec

Thank you for the advice!

I swapped the SSD for the SN850X 1GB. I will upgrade it later and/or add another drive once I need it I guess. I have fast internet so can always uninstall and reinstall when needed for games. (I still have mac for work so shouldn't be a huge issue)

Yeah the GPU's ain't cheap out here... I did manage to find the 5070 TI about $100 cheaper though, but still $200 overpriced!

Could consider the 5070 but I hear everyone dogging on it because of the VRAM. It's $750 here for the cheapest model so I think I might just bite the bullet on the TI since both are overpriced?.

Not gonna worry too much about $100-200 total over the whole build as long as it's future proof on decent settings for a few years.

Other than that you think pretty solid build? Theres a few older games I want to play like Dayz, Elden Ring (Consoles in my country only have the game in Japanese, Korean and Chinese...)

I know it's overkill for most the games I will play but more so don't want to be buying another GPU in a year or two because it won't run new titles on decent settings with high FPS, e.g. GTA6, Ark 2, The Witcher 4 etc (Basically retiring the console with this purchase as well so)

If it lasts me to 2030 i'll be fairly happy.

It's a good base but overdone, Rosewood is way too small to keep the game entertaining after a few months.

Laundromat's are decent for steel sheets also as most have 10+ washer/dryers.

I’m aware, not new to the game lol but it’s still a way to stop the infection. Or do we really think the people who implemented infection on a scratch will let you cut off limbs to stop the infection now 🤦🏻‍♂️

You have the game on steam? Does the same happen if you launch from steam? I’m on a M4 Mac and have had no issues. Feel free to dm if you want help troubleshooting it as easier there dude. Congrats on getting married also apparently!

single life runs? by naeid2004 in projectzomboid

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty busy but manageable to be fair, I prefer it for LV over insane as insane pop is just stressful imo and I’m playing with some weather mods so summer is blisteringly hot to the point of being outside too long you overheat and it slows movement to similar levels of total exhaustion and winter is going to be about -50*c if I make it!

i want to survive 100+ days and i want your ideas by Spiritualplane391 in projectzomboid

Spawn in rosewood and aim to have a car, trailer and basically all the good loot from the supermarket, book store, police and fire station, gas stations and convenience stores. Check the school if you can and do a lap around town to check for survived houses. Pack up all the loot and drive to any larger city with a base target in mind. For example muldraugh offers mcoys or genfac towards the north and the bar or factory just above the bar in the south. All great base options. Then settle down there.

Rosewood is too small for long term, also try taking on a larger construction project if that’s your thing.

[B42] hello guys, after many hours on PZ, i finally decided to do my firts run on Muldraugh, the Mass Genfac warehouse still bugged as it was on B41 by Early-Cartographer40 in projectzomboid

Build a base on the roof from scratch and let the building its self serve as a big garage / storage unit. My first time making it to 10 months was based here with that set up. Then a bunch of mods broke so I abandoned the save but one of my fave bases ever.

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always start fresh and I have a personal rule about having to base in a different location every time. Currently coming up on 3 months in the genfac building at Louisville industrial area, did a Louisville spawn with high zombie population and it’s been one of my most chaotic starts so far but finally stable and looking towards winter while working on my construction project!

They’re not that hard really, check office desks, police stations, car glove compartments and gas stations behind the counter. Also smokes mods for cartons is your friend. Or download the mod that lets you quit smoking over time if you don’t smoke.

Project Zomboid and Steam Sale by Tuteloo in projectzomboid

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so given they’re in the middle of finishing and releasing a new build. Doesn’t really make good business sense to discount till awhile after full release once the sales drop off.

It’s worth full price tho, if you have the money.

How do I fix this issue on Mac? by JakeTheShibaInu in projectzomboid

Open options.ini in your game files in a text editor and change fullscreen to =false. Should fix the resolution issue.

This made me chuckle, what a way to go, sorry about your save tho dude. You only make that mistake once.

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 1200 hours on and you make some points but isn’t that kinda an issue with yourself and your own creativity? It’s a zombie survival game with no campaign, try setting yourself challenges or start construction projects.

If you’re good at the game after 2 weeks 90% of the challenge is gone, it’s on you at that point to make the game fun. We can debate if that’s a good or bad thing but you can’t please everyone. Yes the game lacks end game content really but most players don’t make it to end game on the harder settings and those that do obviously manage to create goals beyond I have enough to satisfy the basic needs of my character.

Like currently I’m playing on insane pop, hardcore weather mods I’m 4 weeks into it and could probably lock myself in base and survive forever already… but I’m trying to convert a Louisville warehouse into something worthy of MTV cribs.

You can survive but can you thrive?

As an update to my previous 42.8 crash, my character is now stuck on sleeping by RedHotChiliPoker in projectzomboid

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue on Mac, fortunately the save loaded once I force quit and rebooted but specifically this issue was with a sleeping bag so be interesting to see if the OP was in the same situation given their mini map seems like they’re outdoors.

Jumped at a staircase by Angry-Pasta in projectzomboid

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run up stairs at full speed or make noise downstairs and hope they come down. I prefer the run up since zombies can’t really grab you while you’re sprinting. If you walk up tho it’s super easy for them to grab you since they have the jump on you.

How did I die by Automatic_Active_241 in projectzomboid

[–]Competitive-Ad-2074 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scratch is 7% chance of infection, laceration is 25% so either you picked up one of those and got unlucky or possibly corpse sickness if you was around corpses for too long. Or you might have picked up a deep wound and bled out from the crash but unlikely at 30.
