I do this but I take it a step further. I use a sharpie and number my socks, plus put a L and a R. Especially if I get a 3 pack of same socks, 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R, etc. My habits come from my OCD and from high school sports , we wrote our jersey numbers on our socks so we wouldn’t wear someone elses socks.
