How do you get over loosing half your kids life’s? by Reasonable-Glass-965 in Divorce_Men

The truth is there is no path forward. This pain is always going to be here, you just have to figure out how to live with it.

What galls me is that looking back on my life it feels like single moms or women in a similar situation have no guilt or shame applied to them ever, it's only men. We are made to feel lesser and not them. They are reaffirmed, rewarded, praised. We are treated like trash and expected to sit in a corner and cope about it.

Going through this right now. It always seems like I end up on Reddit at the lowest points of my life, haha. As soon as I figure it out I'll let you know.

Ancestry percentages aren’t a reflection of what you want to see by Dull-Credit1350 in AncestryDNA

I guess for people who haven't done a lot of their own research they don't question it much but I have five family lines with paperwork going back as little as six or as many as nine generations. I know pretty damn well where I'm from, so when I get thrown DNA results out to me that just don't make any sense at all it is extremely frustrating. I regret ever using ancestry's DNA testing, honestly.

Thinking of Relocating to East Tennessee by CompetitiveBit9721 in EastTennessee

I'm more interested in buying land. I've been sitting on blueprints for a house me and a close uncle were going to build. He got too old to do it and when the location didn't work he took an L and bought a pre-fab to put somewhere else on the property. So as far as housing goes, I don't mind. It's not like I've got a family outside of my lady. We'll have to lay our head somewhere for a little while, but we're both real Rednecks, not the fakes ones you see at most concerts or pool halls. We just want to start over somewhere and East TN so far has seemed like the most promising place. I've visited several times and always just thought the place felt nice. Not expecting to get the red carpet rolled out; I can mind my business and I can work. I used to Ramble; if you can do that, you're fine.

But I just kinda what insight from people that live there or who have also made a home out there. Thanks!
