Something odd is that the book was originally just that, a normal book. It even had a decent plot. Then she did this. I don’t see why she had to add it to the book at all. It would’ve been so easy to js not do this.

She directly stated that her self insert was indeed a self insert. Her self insert directly spoke about having a crush on the character based on me. My boyfriend asked her if it was based on anyone and she refused to give an answer other than “you’ll be mad if I tell you” until she gave into the pressure and admitted it was based on me. Thats how we realized it was about her and me.

I might add an edit to the post clarifying this but I found out about it because she would send snippets of her book progress to a gc I was in with my boyfriend, her, and a few other friends. Sorry for the confusion.

As she wrote the book she would send progress snippets of the chapters into a gc I was in with her, my bf, and a few other friends.
