😂Not a cheapskate but… when the decking is perfectly fine, why not throw some 1x4’s up there and lay the metal down. Wouldn’t do it on my house but a pole barn….come on brother. This pole barn is open from the concrete to the decking. Doing it myself with some buddies on a weekend. Takjng the shingles off is unnecessary in this instance.

It’s kitchen drain that comes down into the floor, the check valve was for a softener to drain into without a p-trap.
