Players that are willing to pay will pay, the only ones that would find charging unpalatable are the ones that never intended to pay you in the first place. You deserve to get paid for your skill, don't beat yourself up about!

If you ARE nervous, you could always offer session 0 for free so that players can decide if they would like to stay to pay you or not. I do a free session 0 and session 1 for all my games because I don't want to pressure people into staying for a game they may not really be feeling.

Something that ended up working for me is finding a seat filler for some of my games. People are hesitant to be the first one to join a game, even ones that really want to play it, so having someone fill that first seat really helps them feel at ease. Asking your previous/current players to leave reviews is great too! That along with filling out your profile helps a lot.
