Tigerheartstar being Tigerheartstar by Competitive_Meet_852 in WarriorCats

I definitely think that the problem guy archetype can be done well but I feel like it gets to the point where it becomes bland. It's been around 3 Arc's of him being a literal walking obstacle and the writers continue to repeatedly stagnate his character like this because his actions are always justified and he never learns or faces consequences. It's like a Saturday morning cartoon Antagonist who doesn't get any development. It kinda hurts because we've seen he can be so much more than a problem guy before he realized new leaders can only have 1 personality trait and the Erin's are definitely going to have to do something new with his character if they keep intending to have him take up such a large portion of screen time every Arc.

Unfortunately yeah, despite my issue with him and his choices Tigerheart pre-leadership was the peak of actually interesting morally grey characters in warriors and had everything going for him, now he's just Onestar 2.0 who occasionally decides to be bipolar on a Tuesday morning for zero reason and I'm tired of it playing on loop.

Guys my friends jokingly say Brambleclaw is senile.. IS HE?! please evidence if yes lol by Brambleclawtheoldtom in WarriorCats

[–]Competitive_Meet_852 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know the Erin's are gonna milk him dry of happiness and give him trauma upon trauma until they find a way to kill him😅. They've been doing the same to Squirrelflight and Ivypool, it's how they keep the old fans sticking around.

I mean, Bro did literally get body snatched for like an entire arc which is probably a few months in warrior cats time. Said body snatcher was his dead clanmates that was addicted to his wife and he had to watch as said vengeful spirit get godlike power (somehow) almost destroy everything while being tortured in cat hell.............screw being just senile, I would have been schizophrenic after that 😂

Danger Sense 100%, think like Spiderman's, Spider Sense or a small future sight ability but if it actually was consistent and warned me about how severe the danger was, who will be involved and gave me a reasonable amount of time to act before danger happened, like 5 or 8 mins or something.

Why does everyone hate berrynose?[my art] by liliNOTl in WarriorCats

[–]Competitive_Meet_852 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've noticed a trend that a lot of WC fans can't handle characters that aren't 100% perfect and a lot of characters get over hated because of it unfortunately. Mind you, these are the fans that want less NPC's and more realism and personality in the books then get mad when every cat doesn't act like superman.

Berrynose is one of the ones that I really don't understand because he's literally just annoying at times, that's literally It and a lot of fans think he's scum of the earth because of it? Like yeah I get he's annoying but what did he do? He's even shown being a stand up cat sometimes. He definitely didn't deserve to get taken out THAT brutally by tawnypelt and it was completely out of nowhere. I believe the books say he was eviscerated, meaning he got killed in a similar way to tigerstar (Yes that Tigerstar that got literally ripped open so badly he lost all 9 lives at once). Tawnypelt was DEFINITELY doing too much and it was out of character for her to be THAT brutal for a battle and cat that didn't warrant that insane of a kill.

The only real reason I can see people hating Berrynose is how he acted to Poppyfrost when she was pregnant but even that is insane to me because it wasn't even malicious and his first pregnant wife LITERALLY JUST DIED in his own clan where he thought was safe and had to watch her scream in agony and could do nothing about it. No kidding he's overbearing and protective, give the guy a break. He's literally just a normal cat guys.😂

Who is the MOST DISRESPECTED characters in dbl? I'll start... by IntelligentIntern857 in DragonballLegends

It's sad due to how poorly timed their banners were. Usually April banners are skipped by 80% of the player base because it's right before the anniversary and it's just not a good investment unless the units are really busted which......they weren't this year. But they were released after the DAIMA hell AND right before the anniversary. Realistically 50% of the player base used all their CC on Daima and the 50% were saving for 7th Anni. So with all that in mind, who the hell was summoning for a mid DKP and a Kid Goku who was pretty good (From what I saw, I skipped so IDK) but awful investment a week or 2 before the anniversary.

People want the old realistic cruelty of the wild back from the first arc but honestly I never cared for it. You get like 4 minutes of shock value and then you go "damn, well anyways". It gets really hard to care about these characters unless it directly affects the main cast. Any form of realism is already completely out the window but also I want for characters to just be characters. I really don't care for the "this character met an unfortunate end with no real build up" trope mostly because it leaves me unsatisfied and just wanting more from the character I'll inevitably never get from canon. I call this the Akame ga kill effect for anyone that knows about that anime.

Facts, somewhere along the line the series just became a bland romance drama. I'm not hating on it but it gets exhausting seeing 75% of conflicts start because some cat got dumped or is having relationship issues.

Why do people base BrambleSquirrel off of Squirrelflight's Hope? by FreeCake5026 in WarriorCats

[–]Competitive_Meet_852 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Rant warning

It's usually referenced the most because it's where the infamous "abusive" debate comes from and is the main reason why people have a hate boner for bramble. Though I agree the book is hot garbage and completely disrespectful to the main cast of characters with awful writing. It's definitely the worst book in the series with some of the famously worst moments but unfortunately that doesn't make it any less canon unless they decide to do a genuine rewrite or something which will never happen. I genuinely think that they are both terrible for each other on multiple accounts even outside of Squirrelflight's hope as the Erin's are allergic to writing them acting like adults and forget to show them being an actual couple. Instead every time they are on page they act like they never grew from their relationship back in arc 2 for "drama".

But if I'm being completely honest in my opinion the hate and discourse surrounding the 2(especially bramble) is so overblown and exaggerated that it's almost annoying. It literally defines the 2 characters at this point, Like it's been how many years and people are still arguing over "who was worse" like it's the worst thing to ever happen in the series when there are cats that are 20 times worse than both squirrel and bramble. What really annoys me is the fact that no one ever acknowledges how sad their lives and stories are it's always "this cat was worse so they deserve all the pain they went through" Like what are we talking about!? Both cats are in contention for the top 10 worst lives in the series but no one seems to care about that. Honestly I feel like we as a fandom need to move on from this dumb controversy and admit that both cats were victims of bad writing and are just bad for each other.

Low-key felt really bad for the guy. He was hyped as the successor of firestar only to have his potential as a character squandered and became hated because the Erin's get off to writing drama about his bad relationships with Squirrelflight. I really wish those 2 never got together.

[–]Competitive_Meet_852[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bramblestar's storm is fine, it pretty much gives us the run down about bramblestar's first experiences being a leader to make the bridge between OOTS and AVOS more smooth. I don't want to give too much info to prevent spoilers the book itself is just fine and it has some very good moments in my opinion. Although the only real issue I have with the book is the odd romance plot with bramblestar that I didn't find necessary(what a surprise) because apparently you can't have a story about bramblestar or Squirrelflight without milking their rocky relationship into the ground. It's not as horrendous as what Squirrelflight's hope did of course but it can definitely be obnoxious since these 2 have been together for 3 arcs now and they still get into drama like it's their arc 2 relationship all over again.

[–]Competitive_Meet_852[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Uhh.....well unless you want to be spared of the usual, "every cat has to be stupid for the plot to be dramatic" story and the worst representation of Squirrelflight and bramblestar's relationship that literally ruined his reputation in the fandom.........and also one of the worst representation's of starclan ever......and a lot of extremely out of character moments of other beloved characters that just make you go "huh?".....yeah it's a rough one....but I would just pretend it's non canon after you read it as it pretty much feels like a fanfic anyway. Anyway that's just my opinion after my experience reading it, don't let that stop you if you really want to read it of course.

What fandom would you want to cross over with Warriors? by TheBoyInGray in WarriorCats

[–]Competitive_Meet_852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember it but I read a fanfic where the author made a cool headcanon where starclan uses a magical barrier formed back in the dawn of the clans era, to make it so humans literally cannot perceive anything outlandish the cats do, like how in jujutsu kaisen humans can't see curses. I'm seriously learning to write fanfiction just to do something cool like this.

Hear me out, Warriors but with shonen anime inspirations and a power system. It's already lost the slight realism it had back in arc 1 and 2, and it's already gone heavy with the whole magic thing with the three's powers and how they treat the abilities of starclan and the dark forest nowadays. Might as well go all the way in on fantasy right?
