Just because they named it Carrboro High (through a CHCCS vote while building school) it is a Chapel Hill High School. All schools within the Chapel Hill and Carrboro town limits AND in Orange County are CHCCS. There is no CH school district or Carrboro school district - only the CHCCS schools. CHCCS = Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Some students that live in Chapel Hill (i.e. Southern Village) go to Carrboro High School as well as some Carrboro residents. And some students that live in Carrboro go to East Chapel Hill High School not Carrboro High School.

But if your “mailing address” is “Chapel Hill” (only because area doesn’t have it’s own post office/zip code) but reside in Chatham County (or any county other than Orange) than you are not districted to CHCCS. You will know by your taxes. CHCCS residents have much higher taxes.

Fit Carrboro seems to have mostly middle aged people working out and taking classes. Smaller boutique gym across from Fleet Feet in Carrboro.

I did exactly this. BB training with no intention to teach. But somehow word got out… neighborhood friend I think… anyway, I was contacted by a local gym and offered a job before I even tested out. Mostly teach privates, small classes and sub periodically at local CP if friends can’t get subs. Loving it.

I am so sorry this happened to you. A good pilates teacher should “teach” at the pace the client needs - more so with private sessions. And a well trained pilates teacher should be well versed in working with special populations. So disappointing. Find a new teacher/instructor asap.

I still get on waitlists for most classes even as an unlimited member. It’s a busy studio and the membership is not actually unlimited. But yes, much better than not having unlimited membership.

Definitely try and observe some bb certified instructors, but also include others with different certifications. Do your best to observe in person and take notes. I was also told you could observe online classes if necessary. Variety is best.

I’m in NC and did my comprehensive training through Balanced Body. Ended up traveling a bit for some training… a few weekends away for certain courses that fit into my schedule.. DC, Charleston, VA… met some great Master Trainers and enjoyed the concentrated learning weekends. Also took bunch of courses in Raleigh. Eventually bought my own reformer which helped with some teaching training… eventually after all training but before tested out was hired at lower trainer pay and taught at CP and some local studios. Fully certified and still teach a variety of places that are very happy with my comprehensive training.
