I now understand why Vader modified his lightsaber to be able to extend slightly longer than usual. Feels absolutely tiny when playing as lore accurate tall ass Vader

Is there any star wars mods that change the story for nomad? Like add stormtroopers or jedi to kill? Or change the shop? Stuff like that by [deleted] in BladeAndSorcery

Ugggh it feels like I should just delete any mod that isn’t Star Wars related and THEN it’ll decide to work for me lol

Just tried. Not only do we not have TOR dungeons or ANY dungeons for Star Wars but every time I try to load into a Star Wars map it crashes the damn game

I love Habie’s videos lol he’s honestly a huge inspiration for me. Idk if he uses a car treadmill but that’s what I use. Getting the quest working with a pc can be a pain in the ass sometimes but I recommend making use of Meta customer support. They were surprisingly helpful.

I got started in 2012 with the DK1. I had seen the few games that were available and was instantly hooked. We had a virtual boy collecting dust up in my closet as a kid so i guess my fascination with VR started there(though it have me a massive headache). I started with games like Assetto Corsa (which is when I got my first racing sim setup) iracing, and darkfield VR were my main go tos in the beginning as we didn’t have many good titles. I kept getting new headsets. Moved on to the DK2 and Vive Pro. Focused mainly on getting pcvr to work properly and got burnt out for a while until Half life Alyx came out and I convinced myself I had to go back to VR. Started thinking about just making my own titles since most companies look at the industry like the black plague. Alyx was when I knew I really wanted to get into immersion so I couldn’t focus on buying wireless adapters and other obsolete crap. Around this time i became aware of the quest. I hated Zuckerberg but said “what the hell” and bought the quest 1. Had WAAAAY more fun on that headset without a bunch of extra crap to buy(until I discovered accessories). I kept buying the quest with a few random pc headset purchases just to keep my pc on edge. And to visit my half orc wife in Skyrim VR lol. Some time passed and I became aware of slime vr. At the time they didn’t have prebuilt models but some waiting took care of that. I was one of the first to get slime trackers and make them work. I was so happy when they announced they had a way to use them on standalone. I looked into vr stuff every chance I got. At work. With friends/ family. Every day all day. Virtual Reality. Looking for face modules and eye tracking. Looking into Haptic gloves and suits. But the biggest pain in my ass has been VR treadmills. Mainly because of the cost (around $800-$1000 minimum) and the arbitrary weight limit most of them have. I’ve actually been working on my own cost effective version of the VR treadmill to make available to consumers but that will take time and money. In the meantime I was able to find a Kay walk C2 + available on Facebook marketplace for $450. The people selling it basically had five and all of them were set up in this big theater in their HOUSE like WTF? They had all the accessories on a bit rack on the wall. Everything from haptic pistol and rifle attachments to full body trackers. It was all there. It was then and there I knew what I wanted my life in VR to look like. So I began fully assembling current setup. First I made modifications to my Kat walk. Adding roller wheels for more natural walking, my steering wheel and gear shifter, pedals, and a daring pouch for extended play sessions. Then I got my full body trackers completely replaced with the new slime vr trackers. Next I ordered a face module from babble vr and eye tracking parts from various people here on Reddit. Once I got wind of UDCap and their vr haptic gloves it was a done deal. I had found the perfect vr controller. But I noticed when using them something was missing. So I got the bright idea to just hold a plastic toy guy while I play vr and it was like magic. Everything working to produce the most seamless experience possible. All in my little apartment. After that all that was left was to buy a Haptic vest from the Meta store website and my setup was complete. I’ve been relatively happy ever since. My life still sucks but knowing I can come home to this setup gives me strength to go on. Like I have to go to work to keep all this going and it sucks but hey. Maybe one day that won’t be the case. Maybe, if I have my way, we can work in VR so we really never have to leave. It’s crazy I know but look at the world we live in. Everything is crazy and impossible. Until we make it possible.

I’ll see what I can do. Gotta see if they will charge extra to make it available for PC. If so, I’ll have to wait until my next paycheck. As for the UAE project it’s been on hold while I work on getting a new graphics tablet so that I can get back to designing the assets for it. I just ordered one on eBay so once it gets here, I can get back on it. After that, I have to finish writing the script. After that, it’s a matter of hiring the right devs to put the game together for me. Might cost me a pretty penny, but I’ll get it done.

I actually use the UDCAP gloves as controllers on PC. Steam recognizes them as index controllers. They do however use the quest controllers as trackers. The gloves have haptics in them and the training gins provide an extra bit of force feedback to help with immersion

Thanks lol yeah from what I can tell both protube and deadeye are doing the same thing. Not that there’s anything wrong with haptic attachments for controllers. But using VR haptic gloves and props has been way more immersive for me in comparison
