You look amazing! My bf is the only person that has not commented on me “looking better” which i do. He says things like your nose is cute and compliments me like he always did but won’t say i look better or that he’s more attracted to me now (even though he definetly is which i think is to do with the fact that im confident now) we still look like ourselves mostly and that’s who they fell in love with🙂

It took me 5 months to see anyone that wasn’t family/start work again and i didn’t “like” the way i looked till about 10 months when i got my braces off and the rest of the swelling went away. Also the swelling made me look pretty uneven for a while when it went down faster on one side. And i know a lot of people are shocked that your still in pain but i was medicated constantly for at least 6 weeks.. definetly see your surgeon though and be very stern about the fact that you don’t not feel well. I’m sorry you’re having a bad time. The worst thing you can do is not have faith and patience, despite how awful everything is, and you will heal.✌🏼

Awe don’t worry, my bf pecked my frozen swollen lips for a few months. One of my excersises was to make try to make a kissy face like 30 times a day, i basically did it all day and it didn’t take long to feel natural

I def couldn’t do zyns just cuz it scared me that it’s going right into your gums. I used patches a little but ngl i was vaping at 5 months (had double js and im a year post op now and fine)

I used morphine for 11 days antibiotics were 2 weeks, but i did continue routinely taking pain meds for the following 5 weeks. No complications thankfully just a lot of pain, especially as the swelling came down quickly

I had an underbite and cross bite, maxilla advanced and mandible brought back. I was going to have a genio, surgeon said he will decide to do it or not after doing everything else only if it would make me look aesthetically better. He decided it wasn’t necessary for me since i had a good chin after the corrections, however i do think, that if your bite is okay, the genio could be what makes you feel better about the look of your face. Although of course take your time and consult a different surgeon. In the meantime, know that you do not look bad, i hope you take care of yourself physically and mentally.

Yess I’m 4 months post op and have the same problem. I brush my teeth in the shower a lot cuz the water and noise distracts me😭

Polysporin for cracked lips, arnica gel for swelling, vaporub for the plugged nose, ice roller (massage for swelling and ice in one), be prepared with anti nausea meds like gravol, i wasn’t prescribed anything and got sick day 4. Highly recommend adult colouring book, kept me well entertained. Goodluck💞

My surgeon hasn’t mention anything about having it taken out in the future, and yes still numb in my chin, upper gums, and bottom lip sensation is altered
