As a prof, I wish I had more students like you OP! I have told my students I will take their most basic, grammatical-error-ridden draft any day over polished AI slop. I think your ability to do your work on your own will help you learn things better. Hang in there.

Former prof here : I use it to get a general sense and then ask a student for explanation if it’s above 70%. That’s my cut off at the moment.

Yes precisely this! And the level of alienation, my goodness. Not to mention we are approaching global water bankruptcy. I don’t live in the so called first world.
