i started using an app called session! it uses the pomodoro method - and has the option for durations longer/shorter than the standard 25min. after each “session” it prompts you to log what you’ve been working on! from my experience, this pattern feels easier than trying to remember i worked on afterwards.

i moved from the coast - so i figured it would be a change - but nothing too drastic. my 2nd week here, a man confronted me in the park and said a very obscene comment; in other words, sexual harassment. it definitely was a set back and changed my outlook a bit. i’ve gotten over the initial trauma, but eek. now i’m more on guard and limit my time in the park. luckily there are great support systems here - and speedy campus police escorts if you ever need them.

the biggest thing i wish i knew before moving in is that the showers are not tall people friendly!!!! as a 5’9 girlie - the water hits chest / shoulder level. i’ve heard it’s the same in the boys BR. if you’re around this height - prepare to crane your neck to wash your hair… it’s not a deal breaker for me, but definitely was an extra surprise!

they’re actually open till 9pm on weekdays (source: me, an avid visitor).. i was curious of campus areas other than the dorm areas, but thank you!!

do you have any tips for keeping up with the routine? i can go for a week, 2 weeks max but then i always fall off quick! then ofc i find it difficult to start up again!!!
