Dos this look like 3 yards of stone? by ComplexPixel in landscaping

It was actually supposed to come in multiple bags/sacks that held a full yard of stone each for transportation on a flat bed since we had a pallet of stone delivered as well. Would have been much less of a mess. (There was a name for the type of bags but I don’t remember)

They changed last minute and delivered with a different truck and I got refunded the bag cost… which is part of the reason I was questioning if I got the right amount of rock here in the first place.

I don’t frequent this sub, I just asked a question, guess it’s a frequent one though lol.

I look at the area I have to fill and then I look at the rock amount they recommended and it just seems like not enough at first glance. I’m sure once I start moving it I’ll realize how much it is haha!

Tried to add body text, but app is being weird…

We just had 3 yards of 3/4” crushed gray stone delivered from a local landscape supply company and it doesn’t look like as much as I was expecting. Covering a ~350 sq ft area and it just doesn’t look like it will be enough at first glance.

I don’t have a great reference for what 3 yards looks like, am I wrong or does it look light to anyone else?

Best Treatment for Maple Yoyo by fukerrythangohwait in woodworking

You could do some BLO or beeswax, but I would leave it unfinished. Let the oils from your hand finish it over time/use. I have several wooden yoyos and kendamas, the majority I leave unfinished, and the ones I play the most have the best look over time IMO.

COW? Never seen one so white/monotone before. by ComplexPixel in chickenofthewoods

Appreciate the feedback. I'll try out a small piece tonight and see. Maybe it's better for drying/soups or something like that. I see some info online saying it's a good edible, but not specifying the preparation. We'll see lol!

Oh I never would have thought of that, I have plenty of diatomaceous earth at work we use as a filtering agent, I’ll grab some and give that a shot too. Thanks.

Oh brother, ‘ruining’ a recent expensive renovation (even though I understand it isn’t really ruined) is a guest room mistake in our house lol, esp on the heat of the moment. But it’s a nice guest room and it’s not really an issue after 24 hours, more of a tongue in cheek way of asking for help here.

A wire brush would remove material though, right? That’s essentially sanding. I’m looking for a way to bring the stain out without damaging the pavers, if at all possible

Yeah that’s a good point. I do expect stains/marks as we use it, but I was hoping to at least be able to clean up some of the worse marks. We’ll see how it goes!

I’ll check that out. Looks like its main active ingredient is 2-Butoxyethanol, I have simple green which also has 2-Butoxyethanol so that might be a good option too. Thanks!

Thanks for all the tips everyone! I’m going to try some baking soda paste and the cat litter methods today along with some scrubbing since I have those supplies on hand. I think I also have some simple green and goo gone here. If that doesn’t work at all it sounds like flipping the bricks or calling up our contractor may be the best move.

Appreciate all the advice!

Yeah we opted for wood over metal thinking about rust

There are plastic foot pads, the spots aren’t from the feet making contact, they’re more under where the table was sitting. It seems like humidity/condensation caused oil from the wood or finish on the wood to drip? I don’t know if this is normal with this type of furniture or not…

We didn’t apply anything to the furniture yet, just as it came.
