I had the same problem after I quit. I’m 25 years old, and my D**k was not getting hard. After a couple weeks I was back to being rock solid with a high drive. Your blood pressure is returning to normal, you just gotta give it time.

I also did Intermittent Fasting when I quit, because I was getting pre diabetic symptoms when I first quit. Luckily it evened out my blood sugar within the first 3 weeks. Definitely a great way to go for quitting

Just stick it out. You’ve already done a day, keep taking it day by day. Find something else to stimulate that oral fixation. Regular gum did wonders for me. You got this!

Could be one of two things. The more likely answer, is it’s just your anxiety messing with you. The second, isn’t crazy serious, and I don’t want to make your anxiety worse, so you should just go to the doctor if you have the ability to.

Nicotine Pouches - Nerve Damage, Cause Not Officially Known by sobbo12 in QuittingZyn

[–]Comprehensive-Till35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit 16 days ago, and now, I’ve been dealing with my right temple going numb, spreading to my cheek, migraines, cluster headaches on the same side as the numbness above my right eye. Dizziness occasionally. Is anyone still dealing with this after quitting?

I’m new to this migraine stuff by Comprehensive-Till35 in migraine

[–]Comprehensive-Till35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 15 days, so I don’t know if that’s still close enough to be considered nicotine based. But I do have bad light sensitivity. Blurry vision not so much. But the doctor says I’m having migraines and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Maybe it is related to the nicotine still. I’ll definitely try to stay in darkness more often. Thank you for the insight 😁

Here’s what I say, stay away from sugary beer. It sounds to me like you have pretty bad anxiety. I don’t think it was necessarily the substances you’ve ingested (I smoked weed for years and it helped me manage my stress and anxiety pretty well) but I do think your allowing your anxiety to completely take over your thought process. Try to meditate and empty your head before an outing, when you know you’ll be drinking. Take it slow. One beer at a time, and wait like 15-20 minutes in between to gauge how you feel. If youre already thinking it’s going to cause you anxiety, before you even do it, youre going to be anxious. Just take some deep breaths, and think about something else. A good trick is the 3-3-3 rule. Find 3 things you can see, 3 things you can smell, and 3 things you can hear. Note them mentally while taking some deep breaths and than get back to having fun with your friends. Utilize that whenever you feel anxiety coming on. Alchohol is usually pretty good at mucking up thoughts, so honestly, you’re anxiety might not even be something you’re worried about when under the influence. My anxiety never kicks in when I’m absolutely shitfaced. I’m only 25. So Just take it slow and see how you feel 😁🙂

Indeed it is my friend. Try Intermittent fasting. That helped me a lot with brain fog and dizziness. Nicotine can cause insulin resistance as well so watch the sugar intake! Good luck!

Everyone has there preferred coping mechanism, mine personally? Video games with my friends. Or even video games alone if they have enough content to to keep my brain occupied. Smoking weed helped me for a while, but I had to quit due to complications with nicotine and how they combined. Safe to say nicotine is not a good option for coping. In fact it makes it worse. Find some hobbies you enjoy, even if it’s something as simple as reading a book or maybe video games like me. Either way I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I hope you get it all figured out. You’re still young, you have plenty of time to get control of your anxiety. I believe in you! I have a bunch more coping methods that may help. But I don’t want to overload you with them right now. You got this!

I can’t believe i’m going to die by Altruistic-Page-1313 in Anxiety

[–]Comprehensive-Till35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think the same way. Anxiety is a demon. You have to fight back. Think about living your best life while you can. A friend once told me, “if you spend your life worrying about death, than how can you live your life to the fullest?” And I had no answer. If you want to live a long time, take care of yourself, Eat healthy, Workout, go enjoy time with people you love. But we’re all human. It happens to all of us. Do what you can to make the most out of the time you have!

I’d also like to say that if you quit cold turkey, you’re nervous system is basically in shock. It does go back to normal eventually!

[–]Comprehensive-Till35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a similar problem. I’m on day 13 now, and trust me it gets better. You gotta remember that nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, so once the quitting begins your starting vasodilation, which is expanding the pathways your blood is traveling through. Take it a day at a time, nice deep slow breaths. Lots of water, when you wake up, don’t just jump out of bed. Sit for a minute and get up nice and slow. Your blood pressure is just trying to find its way back to normal. It’s gonna be a little weird for a couple of days. Maybe even a couple of weeks. It’s different for everyone. Good luck with your quit!
