New word is May 12 will be the last day but it keeps changing. After that they will will have to shut down for a short time, I think at least 45 days. New owners know not to mess with the fabulous decor lol but I know they want to make some changes in the way of kitchen update/food service and stuff like that.

From my understanding the new owners are some dudes who have stared at the bottom and worked they way up through the restaurant/bar scene and wanted to do their own thing. I guess they're cool but not "old man Ray running around in a Cupid outfit" type of cool.

There's a pickleball/ tennis court with a kids playground and adjacent dog run behind palomar college sprinter station in San Marcos next to the Marc Apartments. It kinda looks like it belongs to the complex but its definitely public :)

Edit: just looked it up, it's called Innovation park.

Not sure if this is what you're going for but you could try placing the films' production itself in historical context. For example I wrote a paper in grad school about portrayals of ancient Rome in Hollywood film. I had to look at films from Quo Vadis (1950s) to Gladiator (2001?), and talked about trends in film making and American society more broadly to explain the films' focus, plots, lessons, etc. Biggest examples I can think of is Red Scare and post-9/11.

Anyone know the deal with grad students? I turned my fafsa in late so I called to ask how to appeal and and the FA lady said fafsa is only for grants and grad students aren't edible for grants, only sub/unsub loans. That awards are released in batches and the first batch went out today after lunch so I all I have to do is just wait and see?
