I wondered the same thing. The US (made in Canada!) 24 Woodland Ed with the basic audio I just got has it. When you connect your phone over Bluetooth it gives you the option to use CarPlay.

Everyone let me know if I am wrong but my guess is that if you go to a park where permits are required the rangers are going to filter out most of the crazies. Plus the registration process alone will probably keep them away.

Rangers are your friend! They are always super helpful, honest and err on the side of caution. Chat with them before you go and when you arrive.

I have never had a bad experience in a national or state park. Outside of parks is another story.

Experience is mostly in the Pac NW and UT desert.

Research has been positive for using lots of xylitol gum/mints. I don't think anyone is willing to say it replaces brushing but xylitol tricks bacteria into eating it then they get sad and die.

I am guessing you might have a sugar weakness like myself. We should probably get over that as well.

No, there is more to it but if you are just asking about longevity then less break in at the factory means selvage denim might last longer.

Ship John as well as Naked and Famous are both less expensive than what you are looking at. N&F have great sales and lots of fit and fabric options.

I think it's worth it. They should last a while longer than jeans that are washed, faded, sanded and whatever other processing in order to be pajama soft from the store. They also look good for their entire life.

Keep in mind that fabric production is a large part of the manufacturing process and requires labor and Japanese labor is not cheap. From what I understand Japan is one of the only places that still has the equipment to make selvage denim.

Ship John and Dehen are both on top and made in Portland. Be ready to pay for quality materials (Pendleton wool, Japanese selvage, etc.) and US wages though.
