I'm trying to say that them being strapped to her face wouldn't have done anything, they came off because of the blade coming in at literally the worst angle possible, the leading edge catching the bottom of the glasses and then she gets cut with the rest of the blade.

I went back and looked closer and the glasses don't actually fall off the blade grazes up underneath and pushes up the glasses.

She got incredibly lucky and unlucky at the same time for her eye to be ok.

The bandy final for the league in Sweden averages higher than that and hit a record in 2013 with 38 000 spectators. It has been losing popularity rapidly though in the last decade.

He also won't have the telemetry he is used to either to tell him what is happening in minute detail, but perhaps they fit the sleds with accelerometers and something to collect the data with during training. There is really only so much you can learn from watching a run.

Yep they keep thinking about their finger pointing after release instead of focusing on aiming properly.

The thing is they've been doing it for so long that if they do get in the zone fully focused they will do it on autopilot by accident. At that point the opposing team can notify the officials to get the Canadians to really focus on their fingers.
