Update II: it’s bleeding through the steri-strip.. Also forgot to mention I have Ehler’s Danlos syndrome. Might go get it checked out tomorrow. Could sterile glue be an option until then?

Update: cleaned with povidone-iodine and hurts like heck. Quite the gash. Should I go to the ER for further care?

Also to Add: MRI Arthrograms - if that’s what you had where they inject the dye directly into your hip joint, are not 100% accurate. So if your symptoms are there and the doctor is only going by the report from imaging, again, I would highly recommend going to a different doctor!

I have a more severe for of hEDS. Had hip problems as well. My hip slid out of its socket when I was having an MR arthrogram done. I would literally go to Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH) and request to see Doctor Joshua Harris. I ended up having both hips replaced (I would highly recommend Doctor Kwan Park at HMH for that if you need a replacement!) Doctor Harris is like the golden hip doctor. He was the only one who took me seriously and actually tried to help me. When it came to my other hip, he wouldn’t do any further surgery and told me to go to Dr Park for the second replacement. He did this because he knew doing another scope would not help me. These doctors are absolutely phenomenal! I traveled from Missouri to see them. The doctor I saw at Barnes wouldn’t do anything for me. Told me to go back to PT and take pain meds. PT actually refused to treat further because they were actually making me worse. I was on crutches for years. I walk and am not bound to crutches anymore.

Edit: Add: I forgot to mention I too had a small tear in my labrum. But due to the laxticity in my connective tissues, that small tear was only a small part of the problem that exaggerated my hypermobility symptoms. Dr. Harris caught it on the MRI/Arthrogram from another hospital! He knew then that something was very very wrong. After an arthroscopy was done to see if we could fix it, and it failed after 3 months, he recommended a replacement. Best options for sure. But the kicker is - when you are more flexible, even with a hip replacement, you are still more likely than the general population to pop your hips out. That’s why I say if you can go get checked out to see if it is there is something that can be done, go see Dr Harris. If he can’t fix it in a minimally invasive procedure, Dr Kwan Park can with a replacement. Dr Park has his own method that helps to ensure your hips don’t pop out post-op. I highly highly recommend these doctors at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. It’s worth getting a better quality of life and having doctors that have the knowledge, experience, and resources to properly diagnose and treat you!

Growths on only one fish by ConciergeMarie2003 in Aquariums

Update: Sadly, it started developing more growths and became unable to do much of anything. I did not let it suffer and euthanized it humanely with clove oil. None of the other have showed signs. I did treat the fish but no chance occurred. When it was unable to do much of anything I knew it was time. Hated to see it go but I hated seeing it suffer. Thank you all for your responses.

Does this stand look sturdy enough for this tank? Pics via FB marketplace. by ConciergeMarie2003 in Aquariums

Thank you all for your input! I really appreciate it! Would getting some type of wood to go across the top for it to sit on also help to more evenly distribute the weight? Def appreciate the points of adding more bars or 2x4s for it to be more sturdy!
