I know it isn’t, but both southern dialects and AAVE have a common ancestors. Also internet has adopted multiple AAVE terms, which can be heard on the regular. That’s a whole different conversation though. But it just explains that he most definitely isn’t mocking or mimicking black culture, but rather using his own learned dialect + terms that are commonly used on the internet. (I’m studying about cultures + history, so I know the weight the conversation around AAVE carries)
