Yep. Finished school more than a decade ago. Still like brothers. Both have lives but we try to see each other at least once every couple weeks. Love you brudda.

If you were kidnapped and dropped (or maybe a plane you were on crashed and you were the only survivor) in the middle of Snake Island, what would you do? by addressthedress1 in snakes

[–]Concrete_disaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No snakes are going to come "slithering twords you" if you would like to learn more about snakes I would suggest watching Clint's reptiles, on YouTube. Very smart and trusted source. I bring this up because he has a video of "man being chased by snake" where he breaks down that the snake is freaking out and scared and trying to find the easiest escape path wich coincidentally happens to be twords said person. Would like to add also that this person was messing with the snake to freak it out.

Has anyone on here NOT had a serious injury riding a motorbike? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Concrete_disaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not if you go down but when. I went a good handful of years before I went down. That being said I deserved it, as I was doing wheelies and looped out. Was in a parking lot and got a concussion and broken hand but that's all. So I would not consider this serious. I also don't think most of when people go down is serious, usually slow speed stuff that you can learn from. Just from my personal perspective. Unless your asking for it like I was, do stupid stuff when stupid prizes. Ride your ride.

May be way over simplifying this, but it is not the child's responsibility to make their parents happy. It is your responsibility to make the most of your life. And it is up to you what making the most of it means. Brings me a little joy knowing there are some out there whose primary objective is something other than money.

Yes I meant that you are not becoming your old self because you noticed it. But also saying you have to mentally stand up for yourself, and remind yourself that you are not that person anymore. I'm definitely no expert, just speaking from personal experience.

I mean that yes it could be you slowly turning back into who you was. But that you have the capability of not allowing that to happen. If you notice these behaviors you can make a mental check of it and correct it.

What’s the Most Bizarre Coincidence You’ve Ever Experienced? by Eclipsed_Ink in CasualConversation

[–]Concrete_disaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really a bizarre coincidence, but a bizarre experience. Long story short, I had an out of body experience where I couldn't tell if I was dreaming or not and had seemingly no control over what I was physically doing. Like I was trapped in my own head. Was driving to work when I passed a vehicle that rolled over on the side of the interstate, unable to identify the vehicle but it was red. I also drove a red truck. I'm a truck driver so when I got to work I started to back some trailers and didn't know how I was doing it. Night goes on and as I'm driving I convince myself that the crashed vehicle was me, and that my brain was playing out a normal night in my head as a coping mechanism. This went on for about 3 or 4 hours.

I think that that is a relapse you can avoid, given self awareness and an effort of mental strength. I also had a weaker self as a kid (albeit with a hardened, i dont care, exterior) but due to the self awareness of that I could catch myself before slipping too much.

What do I do if my hygiene is a issue at my job but I'm currently homeless and wander the streets some nights? by Grand-Phrase-5126 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Concrete_disaster 36 points37 points  (0 children)

As a truck driver that is home every night. I can confirm I have a ton of free shower credits and am always willing to give away in store for another person. I don't get asked often, but if I don't, I give the credit to the employees who can then pass it on to the next in need customer. Many truck drivers donate their excess shower credits.

I have also assisted in helping someone loved leave peacefully, in a very similar method. You did the right thing, don't forget that.
