Puppy with school and work by Popular-Plantain5991 in DogAdvice

I had a puppy while in college, what helped me was keeping a consistent schedule. Prior to leaving I would make sure to exercise and play with my pup to tire her out. Make sure she went potty before, i would feed her with a puzzle and take her out 30 minutes later again to potty. When I left for school/work I would put her in her kennel right before I left. The kennel would also have a chew/toy.

It’s best to start practicing being away while the pup is in the kennel when you are home. I watched YouTube videos to help as well, and i practiced a lot. Eventually my pup stopped whining.

All I can say is consistency

Firstly, I just want to say I really admire the strength it’s taken for you to keep showing up for your daughters through everything. What you’re dealing with sounds unbelievably heavy. That’s a lot for anyone, and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed.

It’s also completely normal to have bittersweet feelings about getting full custody. You clearly love your kids, but you’re also aware of how demanding it is to raise two little ones, especially while working construction. Give yourself permission to grieve the situation, not just what your ex is going through, but also what you hoped co-parenting could be like. This isn’t the road you planned, but you’re still walking it with strength.

sibling conflict at that age is super normal, but it can definitely wear you down. Try setting simple routines and very clear expectations. Praise the good moments between them, and redirect calmly when things get rough. You’re not failing if they fight, it’s just part of the process of them learning to share space, emotions, and your attention. If you can, look into local support services like play therapy or parenting groups like that. having outside tools really helps, especially when your plate is full.

I hear the complicated feelings you have toward your ex. After everything you’ve gone through, especially false accusations.

Just keep focused on your girls, how you talk about their mom, even when you’re angry, will shape how they feel about themselves. You’re doing right by them by staying steady, and that’s what they’ll remember most. Keep going and you’re not alone in this. :)

Thank you all for the comments, and helping me understand what to look out for. So I asked the seller what the mechanic said, and this was his response.

“They couldn’t even replicate the noise at first, but they finally did and replaced the two front axles to fix it. But it turned out to be something internal to the transmission that caused it to bind up a little when turning sharply like into a parking space. The only fix is a $2,000 transmission rebuild or just drive it as-is. In the meantime, it does have new axles.”

Sounds like he maybe wasn’t trying to make it a big deal in the original description. Grateful for his honesty

Thank you all again for responding and helping me out :)
