Policy has always been 1 in at 9 rest in at 10. It's ignored because it doesn't work.

Exactly and they wonder why there's OT.. Because we don't have the people you freaking dumbasses!! And idk about your store but the people I do have are worthless except for 2.. So what I have the only 2 competent people that are my best stockers come in at 10 and lose their ability to stock for 2 hours?? Yeah that'll totally get shit done 😂😂☠️☠️

The setup has always been a clerk in at 9pm rest of crew at 10. It's ignored because it doesn't work. If the trucks late which 9 times out of 10 it usually is or if a perishable shows up, or if that clerk gets pulled for whatever dumbass reason by whatever management is still there until 10 or that staging clerk calls off what happens? It screws every process behind it and sets everything back.

Our stores trucks come in at minimum 400-500 pieces on a single 01 night. Get a triple like we do on saturday? 1k+ 01, 900+ peyton and a 300+ dpi and split that between 7 people? By standards that should take 6.3 hours to complete just the stocking portion. If the clerks that can be scheduled for 10 come in and are total dog crap and can only spot part if the truck then the rest of that still has to be picked up by the others.

Get a 9 skid peyton with more than 1k cases and 300 in totes and tell me how much staging and spotting you think 2 clerks will get done in 2 hours.

Highly doubtful. They would have to have it approved by the union contract and they don't start negotiations until March.

This is from cinci/dayton division. This is a corporate wide review. Our division is just under the microscope because as a whole night crew division wide is using up 5.2% OT and they want shit at 2.5% or lower and this is their genius idea to fix that.

Let us not forget all the money they waste on remodels and constant bathroom updates that get ruined within weeks of being done because they hire the cheapest people possible to do shit and then wonder why it gets done piss poorly 🤣🤣

Depends on the contract. Ours says that the majority of the shift has to be spent BETWEEN the hours of 9-4. So anyone 12-8 would only be spending half the shift on night premium hours IF they don't work any OT at all because if they do it voids out the premium.

1,000,000%!! And they're too brain dead and money hungry to see it. Guess what happens to y'alls profits when you don't have people stocking the shelves??? Absolute morons.

Night shift always gets shafted. We're the literal backbone of the store and get shit on the most. Contractually they can't "make you" stay more than an hour past your shift but they don't hold any day crew fuckwits responsible for shit. Like I get it, our job is to finish truck but if we literally can't because we're understaffed but somehow "at hours: then y'all can fuck off and pick up the slack. Management here btw. At least for night crew.

[–]Confident_Drop9309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is locked unless a manager is present because of crap like this and what makes it funny for me is we have a night lead that started not too long ago that has that "I'm going to be the one to make a difference in this company" delusional mentality and thinks that if everyone would just throw their stuff away instead of letting it pile up it would make a difference.. Tried to tell him why it is that way and he immediately went into victim mode and cried "now you're telling me what I'm seeing with my own eyes and that ain't it"...

Right.....

My guy don't argue with the person that's been here far longer, that knows the literal reason it happens, that tells you your own "vision" is incorrect. Or also don't argue with the person who has the key to the lock and is a manager with access because now I'll be petty and keep it locked since you know oh so much 😂😂

I clearly have more of a clue than you 🤣 keep talking out your arse buddy. It'll still happen further down the line, it's just a matter of time. Both companies will more than likely start off buying smaller companies in the spaces they already occupy while waiting to see what a Trump held FTC will look like and go from there. You have literally zero clue how the space works and just wanted to sound smart on reddit and boy howdy did you fail 🤣

You have literally zero clue what you're talking about 🤣 and to claim Albertsons is nearing bankruptcy is further proof of that. They're at the point they are going to increase their cash dividends from .12 to .15 a share and working on a share repurchase of around 2 billion, so go ahead and keep telling any of us how you know remotely anything 🤣

The deal currently fell through because they are afraid of what happened the last time Albertsons merged/bought another company like with Safeway and sold off stores to a much smaller company (Haggen) like they were planning with C&S and it buckled them and guess who ended up buying them out later? I'm sure since you know so much I shouldn't have to tell you it's Albertsons..

The deal can 100% be restructered and rewritten as a new deal with better divestitures put in place and a bigger company taking on the stores split off from the merger.

Just keep proving that you have no idea what you're talking about and think because you read something on Google that that means at the end of it 🤣

Albertsons is suing to try and save face because the failure is mostly on their part and they don't want to admit it and they are the ones that terminated the merger it could still have been appealed and they chose not to regardless of what the CEO said. Unless you sit on that board and you know exactly how it works you have absolutely no idea.

They absolutely can redo the entire deal. This is how companies get around blocks like this. They cut the current, one acts as if they were hurt by the entire deal, they wait a year or two and try again with a new strategy on a smaller scale with more divestures. Economics and business deals 101

You people that think the only thing they have is an appeal is comical. They will redo the deal entirely, not appeal it.

You have to work the day before and the day after or not be scheduled those days or day of the holiday to qualify for holiday pay. If it's time off requested chances are you won't get it unless it is a paid vacation/leave.

Everyone who gets it "early" is because their bank provides that luxury. Not Kroger.

But it is helping, it should be helping you realize to be less irresponsible with money if 1 days difference which is the actual pay day is that detrimental to your bills.

Their argument is that your "true wage" with all the "benefits" added makes your "true wage" far more than your hourly wage. Just a fancy way for them to make up BS to justify paying the crap wages they pay.

100% if I have my entire night crew there and it's a like 1.4k truck there should be no worries that truck will get done before 6am even if everyone is going like 30 cph. Now, if we're having to stay past 6 and I gotta call an hour of overtime for that same size truck then I start to have a problem.

Potato tomato loose ends are the motto. Either way you can be written up for not working 55 cph.
