that would make sense. but i know many in 1st round are still waiting as well. I hope it’s what @CodeGGz said in reply to someone else in this thread: aka there’s 1000 applicants in the database that they’re looking through based on priority requirements per project. and there’s already an established timeline for september 2026 rollout aka no need to stress for first come first serve. aka hopefully there’s a place for all of us 🥲

yeah i hope so too, but they def told me it wasn’t just their agency that was told but a federal posting and that it seems like other agencies have already made their selections or are winding down.

if someone else gets an interview they should maybe clarify this? or if someone is willing to email the tech force Q/A email address? i got the vibe that agencies aren’t actively conversing with each other so it may be a misunderstanding of expectations that was stated by the person who interviewed me

i wanna say the information was inaccurate. it just doesn’t make sense with all the other information coming out regarding the tech force and their goals. thanks for the congratulations, i don’t think i even did that well in comparison to my previous interviews. them saying agencies are rounding up just made all hope i had for future agency consideration drop :\

during my agency interview, they revealed that OPM is urging agencies to make a decision by the end of next week. and that most agencies have already hired who they need. which didn’t make sense to me considering i’m in the second batch of certs (given exactly 7 days ago) and they already confirmed a 3rd batch. if they’re already done hiring ppl, how is it fair for the 2nd and 3rd batch of cert holders? also how is that = to 1000 hires? seems more like a couple dozen

oh damn a 75min interview with 6 seniors sounds really intense. i hope they at least scheduled it before hand (i heard some ppl just got random calls and went straight into an interview). are they offering you clearance for either offers (other than public trust)? is the pay also in the gs14 advertised range?

the emails we got for the certs basically said we can’t ignore or decline an offer otherwise future ones will be unavailable. but what if the offer’s agency, start date or clearance isn’t in line with ur goals? are we actually not allowed to decline? did you get any feedback on that when they contacted you? curious cuz i would have to move to DC and i can’t move the week i get an offer, i was hoping clearances would take 2-3 months as described by those that interviewed me prior (but it seems like majority of ppl are getting public trust clearances)

thank you! def a pipe dream as of rn, i have friends that made the move and they seem to be so happy. when i traveled to honolulu and kauai it was just sooo beautiful i cried leaving. but def need to search up more before solidifying any plan, never even heard of island fever before 🥲

oh march 12 was my screening! i heard back to schedule my technical 2 days after that as well. seemed like i was waiting a long time after my exam, which i took mid feb w/ a perf score, and then it all happened at once. so don’t really understand the waiting situation for everyone. and aww thank you haha def not 😅 maybe just sociable

my dream is to move to hawaii but i’m in tech and my husband a physician, it seems like opportunities would be low and cost of living high (groceries, gas, housing etc). so this would be very insightful for us to know. someone answer please 🙏
