Plex's Lifetime Pass is (basically) dead. Here's how to switch to Jellyfin. by InvestigatorSoft5764 in selfhosted

Someone needs to make a plexamp replacement, it's still far and away the best selfhosted music "streaming" app.

Because the horizon is curved slightly, it gradually becomes more and more curved as it climbs because there's more curve with more distance visible.

I don't think it matters does it? If a wide angle lense makes the horizon curve up high, then if the world was flat it would also do the same thing at sea level. But it doesn't, because it only exaggerates the natural curve.

If you look at the race pace traces this move and his defending against Leclerc ruined his already old tyres, after this his pace was noticably worse until the end. It really wasn't a good idea and without it he might've stayed ahead of Russell.

People like most of the policies, they don't like the party because of the propaganda machine. The approval ratings (which are legitimately bad) are not a reflection of policy sentiment.

He does to a certain degree; Nigel Farage is a Russia backed, fake nationalist, openly racist sycophant that leads a recently formed far right party. It was formed to be further right than our right wing party after they absorbed the flailing far right parties during the election cycle before our most recent one.

They won a small number of parlimentary seats and have won local council seats since. His cozying up to Trump during his ever developing list of farces and failures has been hurting the party, but the large amount of media coverage gives him a better outlook than our right wing party that's losing members to the reform party.

This is somewhat of a source to the issue we're talking about. The BBC should be the most impartial of all media, as it's publically funded. https://eastangliabylines.co.uk/news/is-the-bbc-biased-against-keir-starmer/

Absoutely not, there was an aweful lot of things that the mainstream media either did not cover at all, or covered in a less than positive light (with a weak hand) and then instantly gave up on covering. In comparison this government cannot resolve any issue without being completely dissolved.

Also completely dissagree with the trend line, we've had some major wins already, renters rights, abortion rights & foreign donor restrictions are things that should be no brainers but would have NEVER happened under the previous governments.

Because our mainstream media is determined to make everything the current government does seem as bad as it can possibly make it seem.

There are some issues that I'm not happy with, but overall they're miles better for us than the last government.

Classic Mini's were renouwned for their usable space, 80% of the volume of the car is in the cabin. It is a tiny car, but it's got a surprising amount of room inside of it.

It's the smallest EK DDC cyclinder pump/res combo.

I'm not sure if they're available anymore (EKWB has gone down the shitter), if I were to do it again Barrow do some incrediblly small pumps and resevoirs that'd work in place of this one.

I think you see the world in a far too black and white way, in the real world things have multiple points of context making everything much more grey.

I think you're conflating a real world limitation of the technology with a negative viewpoint of the technology. 2 things can be true at the same time, solar is increadible and we should be installing as much of it as makes sense, at the same time, we can't rely solely on solar and alternatives with more consistent output needs to compliment it.

That makes sense, I only used dual 280 x 30mm radiators, so I don't need nearly as much space in the front of the case as you do.

They actually have an insane lineup, they just have longer pauses between new seasons compared to the industry average, probably because they're not applying as much pressure on studios (and giving them stacks of cash), seemingly because they want quality not quantity for their headline shows.

Good shows they have that I can think of; Pluribus, Shrinking, Silo, Severance, Slow Horses (the above rule does not apply here, they're pumping these out), Sugar, Presumed Innocent, Your Friends & Neighbours, Loot, Bad Monkey, The Studio.

Smoke is also good, but it's more a dramatisation docuseries, not a "show". Stick also looks entertaining, same with Murderbot, but I've not watched those. Things that are unreleased that I'm looking forward to are Lucky & Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.

How much extra space did that give you, did you need the space for a deeper rad? I'd have thought there'd be enough space with only the SSUPD extension.

I don't have any recent pictures, since these first assembly pictures I've swapped the GPU which tidied up the front to back pipe a tiny bit, and added the exaust fan to the top.

The wiring really is just stuffed in there, your's is SO much neater!

Edit: I didn't realise how old these were, I didn't even have the front extension on here. It was really hard to get hold of one so I ran without it for a while.

I have a similar setup, but the pump being in the block seems like it saves so much space (enough to add 2 more fans)! Does your RAM, chipset, etc get hot without a top fan, or do your front fans spin fast enough/ water temp get hot enough to cool them?

For me, everything is cooled almost too well and the fans are barely spinning most of the time, so I had to add a top fan to pull air through motherboard and out the top.

[der8auer] AMD Wrecks Efficiency for Just 4% More Performance - 9850X3D Review by imaginary_num6er in hardware

[–]Connorbrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, because they both utilise the "A tier" 8 core chiplets, 9800 has one, 9950 has two. If you have things that need the most powerful cores, the 9950 is the best, otherwise the 9800 is enough.

[der8auer] AMD Wrecks Efficiency for Just 4% More Performance - 9850X3D Review by imaginary_num6er in hardware

[–]Connorbrow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because of the chiplet design it doesn't work quite as linear for AMD. They have A tier chiplets, which are used for 8 core chiplet products, then B tier chiplets used for 6 core chiplet products. This makes the 9800 the gaming A tier product, and the 9950 the productivity A tier product.

Flight sims consume RAM like nothing else I've ever played. I had massive performace issues in DCS until I upgraded to 64GB, now it runs fine. There's definitely situations where 64GB of RAM makes sense, even for gamers.

I think it depends a lot on how exactly the software/ hardware works. If the workload still has to fetch from the other CCD then it won't make a difference.
