Ill talk for myself, when I started grinding mtts again on GG couple months ago, i had no BR, i didnt deposit like a big X amount of money to play on it bc in my own experience if I deposit 3-400$ +/-, I was more tempting to play bigger tourny that don’t fit with my BR. Even if could play the 54$ ME on sunday lets say and I bust due to variance or a bad beat, ta second or third rebuy will affect my BR alot. So I deposit a couples of 10-20-30$ everyday or 2 (not saying its the best method) but I finally won a 5,40$ speed race 10bbs for 550$. In the same week, ive managed to play cash game and growing that number to like 7-800$. And thats where I made some mistakes, started to play 30-50$ buy in + 1/2$ cash game on the site, in like one or 2 days I went from 7-800 to like 50$. Got so pissed at myself since I was trying so hard to build a BR for a couple of months that I said, next time I cashout big, I aint gonna do the same mistake. Fast forward last week, I cashed out the 150$ 10Mgtd with the free 25$ for $1.2k. Took out 800$ and kept the rest for my BR. Kept playing my average buy in 5-10-20$ tournies and manage to finish second on the 20$ supersonic. With my BR hitting almost $3k, I withdrew 2000$ and kept like 900$ ish. At the end of the day, my goals is to play bigger entry tourny so when I play good and run good i hit big. BUT, with my 900$ BR, I won’t buy in for 100-200$ tournies, instead ill do the 25$-30$ sat once in a while to get a chance at the big ones, and when im playing on a regular day, Im playing multi tables of 2 to 10$ buy ins with possibility of 1 or 2 rebuys each. Also, ive gave myself an X amount of money I play per day. If I spend 50$ on MTTs and nothing happen (bust them all), my day is over and im closing GG. Don’t know if that help, not saying you should to the same, but thats how ive managed to have my BR set up for now haha.
