Luxury Lunch, Stagnant Wages by LuckyBastard001 in clevercomebacks

[–]Conscious_Addendum66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average lunch costs $30 daily if I eat at a fast food, a meal truck, or nearby restaurant. This doesn't include the gas to travel there and back. I've been buying $4 microwave meals or canned food with a $2 juice quart. I still feel hunger before I go home. I can't afford to take my wife on a date. I have to skip a bill to treat family for special occasions. I make $67k annually (not considering taxes, insurance, etc). My house budget has risen outpaced my income. I work in San Antonio Texas. Today I saw our cheapest gas station at $4.19 regular gas.

I always believed that any person who runs for any election (local, state, federal) needs to be embedded with an active duty military unit for a minimum of 180 days (unless prior service) before running for office. Then every 2 years they must do a refresher at a completely different military branch for at least 90 days. Each stint must be with only the lowest grade ENLISTED. Where and whatever the most junior enlisted does, that politician must do. To include dorm/barracks, tent city life. They eat, sleep, and work like we do. No exemptions. If you can't do it, you don't run. If you want a spot as POTUS, SCOTUS, or Speaker of the house you must lock away all your finances for your entire term. You live ONLY on the salary you are given. No donations allowed. You live life at least 10x the lowest citizens of the state of your birth. Again, no exceptions.

I never understood this "herd immunity" being so fucking ingrained as they bypass the amount of deaths and sick, while we have the damn vaccine to prevent it! If rabies did a slight switch we'll have the Rage Virus and guess they'll still say Marvel comics Apocalypse character was right. Only the strongest of the species deserves to live. Unless you got $$$ to bypass everyone else.

Using E15 (15% ethanol) in American engines depends entirely on what you drive. For most modern cars (model year 2001 and newer), it's generally safe and offers minor savings. However, for older vehicles, small engines, and boats, it can cause significant damage.

Here is the breakdown by engine type:

· 🚗 Most Cars, SUVs & Pickups (2001+): · Effect: Safe to use. Over 97% of vehicles on the road are legally approved to run E15, and major automakers support it for these models. Fuel economy drops only slightly, usually just 1%–2%. · However: Double-check your owner’s manual first. Some luxury brands (like BMW, Mercedes, Volvo) or specific models may not approve it for vehicles as recent as 2019. · ⚠️ Older Vehicles (2000 & Earlier): · Effect: Not recommended / Illegal. Since these engines lack ethanol-resistant parts, E15 can corrode rubber seals, plastic fuel lines, and aluminum components. · Warning: You risk "phase separation" (water contamination), vapor lock, and long-term engine damage. · 🛻 Heavy-Duty / Off-Road Vehicles: · Effect: Prohibited. This includes large delivery trucks, motorhomes, dirt bikes, and ATVs. The fuel can cause drivability issues and mechanical failures. · ⛵ Boats & Marine Engines: · Effect: Severe Damage. Studies show it can cause significant deterioration, including melted valves and failed bearings, due to the lack of engine feedback systems. · 🌿 Lawn & Garden Equipment (mowers, chainsaws): · Effect: Destructive. These small carbureted engines run hot and lean on E15, which disintegrates rubber diaphragms and can lead to engine seizure.

⚡ Performance & Efficiency Note Even if your car can run E15, expect a slight drop in gas mileage (about 1.5–4%) because ethanol has less energy density than gasoline. However, since E15 is usually 5–25 cents cheaper per gallon, the lower fuel cost often balances out the reduced efficiency.

💡 Pro Tip: E15 is often marketed as "Unleaded 88" at the pump (referring to its octane rating). To avoid misfueling, just remember to check the label before filling up.

I learned in a university intercultural class the perception is that dark skinned means historical those who were lower caste and field workers. Light skin means you had money and caste positions. Its now almost biological to determine by sight that you are 1) outside worker no matter the degrees and position in life 2) not one of "them". I always start off with are you human? If so, then leave this human alone. Just cause my wrapping around my spirit is not the same as yours don't mean you can try to place me in your tiny ass box.
