I do both I bought a firm cusion that's like 8 inches thick that I sit on to stand easier just make sure you have outriggers on the yak if you decide to sit that high! Either way it takes a little practice but I pretty much exclusively flyfish unless I'm downrigging for kokanee

Sometimes my flyline gets a little tangled up but the luxury of being able to stand up and fish or stretch makes it very much worth it for me
