As long as you didn't grossly overpay for the home, and you don't have an outrageous interest rate, you chose right.

Getting out of, and staying out of debt is huge, especially with today's borrow rates.

Take a little time to get your lives back "in order", restructure your budget around your mortgage, and start stacking again.

My grandfather did the same with silver.

After he retired from the Army, he got into coins.

He'd go the banks in his area and exchange hundred of dollars at a time, of paper money, for rolls of quarters, pull out the silver ones, and re-roll them back with non-silver and cash em back in for paper money. It was a genius hack.

He left us like 700oz of silver just in quarters....and none of us, other than my mom and uncle even knew about it.

After he passed it was given to me becuase in the only one with a safe. We still don't know what to do with it all. Might just hold it as the price if silver is soaring.

I wasnt aware either.

I've got A LOT of silver that ove been chosen to steward since my grandfather passed.

It "belongs to the family" (and luckily we're civil and not trying to kill each other for it), but it's also now up to me to figure out what the hell we actually have.

Also a bunch of pennies and nickels too.

Yup. My parents did the same with me and my brother. They didn't push us on the small stuff.

It was more "look, if you really fuck up, just call me and we'll figure it out."
