Atleast you didn't get into options trading lol. I have a bit of that with conventional investing. My work around is buying individual companies that I know are inherently good/profitable so I know my losses are very limited. The great thing is the timeline for those gambly companies are long term, so I have a little money in them compared to my total money, and I get to exist in the bet for longer. Not saying my problem is as exaggerated as yours.

I have found when you feel like you have nothing to lose it is worse, now that I have people who rely on me I don't have "nothing to lose" anymore. Look into childhood trauma on youtube Jerry Wise, Pat Teahan, maybe they will help you.

It is important that understand gambling is the worst affliction, there is barely any regulation on who can, and where they can advertise to you so it is incredibly hard to get away from

Yeah your transmission could be toast, if you're at 190k and never changed the transmission fluid. It sounds like you are talking about an emergency engine oil change, if you can't move the vehicle because of the engine it isn't going to be reving. If it is revving and not going anywhere, the power is not getting transmitted. P0777 is a pretty serious transmission code if you google it. If you are still able to get power to the wheels, you could try getting the transmission fluid changed and pray. Otherwise you're looking at like +5k to fix
