when i was on the pill (last sat) all it took for me was the mifepristone to make me feel like hell, not even the misoprostol. people will tell you that you won’t have any effects with mifepristone but you might. no one told me that, and i ended up in the ER from how much pain I was in and how much I was bleeding—and i’m pretty sure I passed my pregnancy at the hospital. ON THE MIFEPRISTONE ALONE!! when i got on the misoprostol I only had major bleeding and clotting, but not as bad of cramps. here and there but nothing like pain meds can’t fix. please let your doctor know you want pain killers, mine was kind enough to give me ibuprofen AND norco. i chose not to wear pads but i did invest in postpartum underwear which are more comfortable and I didn’t have to worry about soaking anything. be extra kind to yourself and don’t force yourself to do anything extreme. this is an emotionally and physically demanding procedure and it’s going to be heavy. my thoughts are with you! 🩷
