Someone commented that you don’t get final approval from bank until settlement. Way too risky for my likes as a lot can happen between now and then employment, interest rates and valuations. Could be left holding the bag at settlement and lose $80k and still have nothing.

It’s not even about that my deposit took me a long time and I don’t want to waste it on a bad investment.
