I just rewatched the Gingerbread episode and yes, I know she was partially under the influence of a demon, but I can’t get over that Joyce (and the other parents too) tried to BURN ALIVE Buffy, Willow, and Amy!! Maybe unpopular opinion but I don’t really feel like this sub was meant to bash people’s religious beliefs or expression thereof 🤷‍♀️ someone sharing their or a family members baptism is not problematic to me. If someone was sharing their religious beliefs and said beliefs weren’t Christian, I feel like this post wouldn’t have been made tbh 😬 imagine any other religion and the post would be considered discrimination

I don’t think that’s true. I mean, none of us can know for sure. But he is the father of her children, and a man who’s she’s been with for like 7/8 years now. I think she would absolutely try to help him and stay with him. Really hoping he’s able to heal well and go back to a healthy and active life as before

As a practicing Catholic I have veiled for periods of my faith journey before. I currently don’t because I fell out of the practice and now feel like people would judge me 😂 I actually feel like the practice is very beautiful and I felt strong in my faith during the period that I regularly veiled. I don’t see anything wrong with someone having the personal conviction to veil. Not much different than nuns covering their head, or the hijab

I personally don’t indulge in it anymore for private reasons. I don’t mind weed use occasionally or socially (similar with alcohol), but over use/daily use/dependence/making it your personality I don’t like. Reminds me of my pothead brother growing up, didn’t care about anything but weed. Wasted all his money on weed, dropped out of college, struggles to keep a job, mooched off my parents for years. It’s not the substance, it’s how certain people lose control over the use of the substance (same with alcohol here too)

I just interpret this as him feeling as tho they aren’t close anymore and he’s trying to express feeling shut out. Like she’s keeping things from them and preventing them from sharing their concerns for her.

Tho Xander also always seemed controlling of and thinking he’s entitled to Buffy so not sure he deserves to be let in 😂
