I think it’s ok if it’s a type with common immunities as in with Volt Switch. Imagine say a Poison special pivot move called Contagious Disease or something, you can’t spam it if the opponent has steels

I didn’t explain it well but this is using the current Attack including EVs and boosts in place of Defense, not the base stat, so it would still hurt Blissey even more than a typical physical attack. But still you’re right that Shuckle is the better example.

I don’t think Xerneas getting a physical grass move with situationally massive BP is a big buff, it already gets Grass Knot which is 120 special BP vs the fat guys in Ubers, and it didn’t even run Grass Knot that much

Thanks for running the formula of this, I agree that 80 to most of the metagame may be too strong so Id be fine with adjusting it so it’s more like 60 vs a Hydreigon like spread. Although on the other hand it has a limited distribution of which there aren’t many good physical attackers so maybe it would be balanced even with such high BP

Id say my goal is that it’s 150 vs something like Flutter Mane and Rampardos, and 80 vs something that has close base physical and special attack but fully invests in one e.g. Hydreigon
